Morning jab118. After losing my shirt on ROK this wasn't the most welcome situation this morning I must admit. Completely different scenario IMHO, but it does give you the jitters nonetheless! Maybe we'll be wishing we topped up earlier at under 90p? :-)

But wasn't the share price telling us it would be something like this? A historic yield of 13% on a market-leader with a strong balance sheet couldn't be sustainable.

As it is, we can expect a full year divi of 8.5p. Maybe eps of 10p this year and next before an upturn.
The share price of 100p or so looks about right. FWIW, I bought at 110p and aren't in shock.

The FD's buy can be seen as just a nonsense, but in fact it is a stupid and irresponsible thing to have done. It knocks my confidence in his judgement and, given his recent promotion by others, in the management more generally.

I hold shares. No advice.

Although he's only been FD since October, he's been with the company as Financial Controller for a couple of years. So he ought to know his way around!

Maybe he even reckons he's being too reckless.

Have dealt with CTO and ses and have a high regard for both companies. Good to see CTO finance director making a share purchase but would like it to have been for a few more!

I'm not invested here, but keep looking in now and again.
T Clarke (Veale Nixon) are one of our competitors, and competition in the M&E industry is very keen to put it mildly!
Our MD holds T Clarke up as a target to match as a well run and profitable company.
Although competition is keen there are still profits to be made, as in this article about Shepherd Construction and their M&E division SES.

Wouldn't be surprised to see a massive order placing here, so the mm's are walking it down, to shake out the weak ;-)

Because capital projects are being canned all over the place and there isn't much revenue visibility in the medium term. But I agree it is still a strategically sound business and they will be one of the ones left standing when we come out of all of this.

Got to be a bargain. Surely. No debt. Increased earnings base with the acquisitions. 100+ year reputation. Competitiors going bust. History of solid ROE and yield.

Sure, a couple of tough years ahead maybe, but a sound investment.

tedg. mid price is at 126.75.. the mm's has narrowed the spread due to L2 with orders on the book.. a week ago there was no orders placed, so more interest less spread.. good sign
