Price is starting to move well. It sometimes takes an initial rise before people start to realise a lot of these small cos are worth buying at these levels.

System C Healthcare wins contract for clinical intelligence systems
NHS Connecting for Health has awarded a contract to System C to design, develop
and implement pilot Clinical Intelligence Systems in over a dozen NHS Trusts
across all ten English Strategic Health Authorities. The systems will provide
clinicians with tools that will help them focus on clinical quality, and present
them with the relevant and timely information they need to inform daily
decisions that improve quality of patient care.
System C will also supply training and knowledge transfer to provide the user
organisations with in-house development capability to change and enhance the new
clinical intelligence systems including the ability to extend the tools to
support other clinical specialties, services and practices.

16:04 2 x near 2 million transactions @ 43p wonder whos behind this, could be a rns soon. I believe these to be purchases because the share price has firmed up another 1p, but my platform isn't showing a buy or sell.

Looking at the chart sys is closing in on resistance at 45p.

System C Healthcare (SYS, 38p, £34.1m) Has announced the acquisition of Bluestar UK Ltd for a maximum consideration of £3m cash, £0.4m on completion with the remainder payable over 3 years assuming the company achieves a cumulative £2.12m profits. Bluestar provides innovative information systems that include RFID tagging of patients and data collection systems. It has been appointed by 25 NHS Trusts. In the year ending October 2008 Bluestar achieved revenues of £2.7m, pre-tax profits of £0.2m and had an NAV of £0.2m. Overall the acquisition should be EPS enhancing. Ahead of this announcement forecasts to May 2009 were for pre-tax profits of £4.2m with 3.5p EPS and for £4.6m with 3.8p EPS to May 2010. Solid value, BUY up to 49p level.

All it would take to see a fast move north, could be a postive trading statement with the words exceeding in the text, or a contract win or two. Then we would see a change of sentiment.

"Exceeding" has to be my favourite word in the English language.

Brought back in today, I liked the terms of the acquisition, which they can easily afford from cash reserves, heads they win, tails they can't lose. SYS seem to be a well run conservative company, I don't think the share price will rocket north, but should be a good solid performer for the portfolio.

System C Healthcare Buys Bluestar UK Group For GBP3M

LONDON (Dow Jones)--System C Healthcare PLC, a provider of specialist IT products and services to the healthcare sector, Tuesday announced the acquisition of the Bluestar U.K. Group Limited for a maximum consideration of up to GBP3.0 million.


MAIN FACTS:

- The consideration for the acquisition is GBP0.4 million in cash on completion, with up to a further maximum of GBP2.6 million payable in cash over three years from completion. Payment of the maximum deferred consideration is subject to Bluestar achieving total aggregate profit before taxation of GBP2.12 million over the three year period, and is capped in each year based on annual targets. The consideration is to be funded from System C's existing resources.

-Bluestar is a specialist developer and supplier of innovative healthcare IT solutions. These include the 'Pathfinder' Radio-Frequency ID (RFID) system for tracking patients and equipment, the Kings Infection Control System, and the 'IGFlow' Information Governance product which helps healthcare providers manage confidential patient data. .

-In the year to Oct. 31, 2008, Bluestar Group reported revenues of GBP2.7 million, profit before taxation of GBP0.2 million and had net assets at completion of GBP0.2 million

- During the last two years, Bluestar has supplied software and services to over 25 NHS Trusts, and is well respected for work in patient safety, clinical benchmarking, and the creation of cost-effective diagnostic services such as regional pathology networks.

- System C intends to use its scale and market presence to bring Bluestar technologies to a wider audience, and work is already underway to provide its 'IGFlow' Information Governance product as a data centre hosted service to multiple NHS Trusts.

Good interim results today. Looks very much continuing on track, with PBIT at £1.9m up 25% and EPS 1.69p up 45%. It's good to see the net cash increasing again to £13.7m.
