08/2/2023 21:57 | From the October quarterly update; The Government of India ("GOI") continues to provide practical assistance and encouragement for the development of indigenous hydrocarbon production. In October 2022 the GOI announced an increase in domestic gas sales price from c. $6.1 / MCF to c. $8.57/MCF. High gas demand, strengthening prices and GOI encouragement make the Company's c. 1 TCF Cambay gas and gas condensate field an increasingly valuable asset. The establishment of a steady (plateau) gas production from the two re-fracced zones on the C-77H gives the Company encouragement to launch a farm out process for up to 50% of the Cambay PSC. A recognised advisory firm has been engaged to manage the farm out process and the Company expects results over the next 3 to 6 months. The aim of the farm out process is to identify a suitable joint venture partner to assist in a full field development of the Cambay field commencing in 2023 with the drilling of new horizontal wells. | cool hand kev

01/2/2023 21:54 | Thought it would be worth me chipping in the discussion following this RNS Firstly an intial echo of the surprise from the other board that the company hadn't released an RNS to state that the pumps with Viton may not work with high contents of aromatic compounds a lot earlier. It may explain why the share price is at such depressed level if the information is known, but the systematic approach hadn't go to the point where the information needed to be released. I would have thought people in the industry would have worked this possibility based on the composition of the condensate and artifical lift options available as soon as the loading occured if not before - after all loading happened in 2014. When I first read the RNS, I wondered if they were saying that if they cannot use Viton whether this project is going to be economic - after all what exactly does 'long-term full field development implications' mean? Can the project be projected to make sufficent returns or not to attract a JV partner? It certainly looks like all metal PCPs are not going to help attract a JV partner. Anyway we can't work that out from the RNS and can only wait and see - but in the meantime I find serious RNS's like this are worth thinking through based on the information we have so far just to get our heads round them and become less emotional about them at the same time. So firstly can they use Viton with that condensate? Well to help us work out if that is possible we can see that on the other board, lastoftheSummer provided a webpage which shows what chemicals react to Vitron: Combine that with this webpage on face value it looks promising that there won't be a problem: These aromatic hydrocarbons mostly end with an 'ene' so copy, paste and search for 'ene' in the first webpage and it looks like, on face value, that it won't cause a problem. Obviously the particular conditions of pressure temperature other chemicals may alter the result and may explain why the degree of aromatic content may affect the failure rate. These webpages may help explain a bit more - (Viton is a Fluoroelastomer). | josephrobert
01/2/2023 21:23 | Hmmm I’ve experienced soft metal seals such as copper or similar but I’m sure that they know what they’re doing 🤔 | cool hand kev
01/2/2023 17:42 | The all metal option sounds like it has significant potential - perhaps they should just cut straight to that rather than pursue something that could easily turn out to be a dead end. | arlington chetwynd talbott
01/2/2023 12:36 | It's a potential solution but no guarantees it's going to work, keep it real fellaWe have been working with the preferred PCP supplier, PCM, to identify an artificial lift solution for the C-77H well which can be applied to future new wells in a full field development programme. The Cambay condensate has a high aromatic content which is not compatible with the standard nitrile rubber stators incorporated in conventional PCP pumps. PCM have a range of elastomer options for the stator lining, including FKM 204 (also known as Viton) which has been proven to be tolerant to an aromatic content of up to 10%. Further testing is required to ascertain whether Viton-lined stators will tolerate the Cambay condensate aromatic content of 40%.As an alternative, the Company is evaluating the use of PCM's all metal PCP which eliminates the aromatics issue but at a significantly higher cost and longer lead time. | zen12
01/2/2023 11:31 | Anybody know if they use hydrogen like fuelcell or cmg cleantech? Would they be a better buy than those listed above? | o92mlboa
01/2/2023 10:46 | Concentrate on this sentence The well is currently producing c. 200,000 SCFD. The production is being inhibited by the c. 1500m column of gas condensate in the wellbore.Imagine the SCFD if they successfully remove the condensate. | neversatisfied

31/1/2023 21:17 | Spirit Energy, the joint venture energy company of Centrica plc and Stadtwerke München GmbH (SWM), has confirmed its plan to convert its depleted South Morecambe and North Morecambe gas fields and Barrow Terminals into a world-class carbon storage cluster. The plans will provide a carbon storage solution for the UK’s industrial heartlands and is set to be one of the biggest carbon storage and hydrogen production clusters in the UK.
