AstraZeneca reports first-quarter results on Wednesday, with analysts focused on the impact of the virus outbreak on the China business, which accounted for more than 30% of the U.K. drugmaker’s revenue in 2019. They’ll also look for comments on the potential of blood cancer drug Calquence and diabetes medicine Farxiga in treating Covid-19. Most expect the company to reiterate its full-year guidance for high single-digit to low double-digit sales.

Fingers crossed there will be comments mentioning a new licensing deal with SNG

It is interesting to follow the approval process for Gilead's Remdesivir. So far its efficacy seems patchy yet it could fly through approval processes. If the bar is low then SNG only needs to show safety and some minor success to be in high demand.

My guess is that recruitment is just about completed so I think that will be announced any day. I am also expecting an update from Pharmaxis and the LOXL2 inhibitor. They should give a quarterly update on Thursday this week.

Interestingly there are 119 vaccines development in progress for Covid19!110 are in preclinical 8 in Phase 11 in Phase 2

To those bored sellers chasing other stocks with the intention of getting back in later, the video below is reminder that there is interim potential news to be RNS'd.



For example and all from the video:

1. In relation to the hospital trial RNS on 18 March they will 'give out data every so often to the Market'
2. It stated that 'very soon' they were to 'implement home based treatment' and were 'confident that this would start in the coming weeks'. New on this imminent.
3. It was stated that they were 'looking down the supply pipeline for the manufacture process'for delivery of drugs etc to make sure they are in a position to provide millions of doses around the world' . News could drop anytime on this issue also.

They will be collecting the regular results for each patient - but won't know whether the individual received SNG001 or the placebo.

What they WILL do is predict on the basis of the on-going results which patients received SNG001.

Let's hope they can see a significant difference....

Interesting start this morning with early shake and no sign of block seller with their 10k sells.
Looking likely that seller has cleared and this will now move up sharply over coming trading days continuing in our upwards rising channel.

Patience is a virtue! Probably another 4 weeks before the results so plenty of time for price increases ahead of that. Plus we will get some updates before then which should help the price; I can think of 3 possible announcements. The problem is the traders who want to make their £200 and move on to the next hot stock. That is not going to work with SNG....
