As you all know I more than tolerate well argued negative views so keep up the discussion. I agree there is relatively high risk with SNG. It's all about risk/reward....

All I will say is potential is just that - potential! This and many other COVID related shares are high risk - ride the sentiment but keep your feet on the ground.

That is your interpretaion of what I said. Interestingly you say I have a childish view but you run to Nobby as if he is the headmaster instead of conversing with me directly.

Err... I didn't raise the topic of NCYT - vitec did so I responded - I am disappointed in you hazl. Look at the posts.

Are you pointing out the merits of SNG on the NCYT bb though?
That is the point.

This is the SNG BB.

Nobby - This probably has more potential than APPLE in the short term - doesn't make it less risky. I agree NCYT is very hard to value as none of us know what profit they will make although we do have an idea of revenues. If the SNG trial fails the price will plummet - be that from 65p or £1.20 just before the trial end. I like SNG and I think this is a good bb but to question risk relative to other shares is never a bad thing imo - and to be fair Nobby - you have always been realistic with regards to the downside as well as the potential upside.

Point is that vitec seems to have quite a childish view - 'only post if you only ever say positive things and if you can't be positive invest and post elsewhere'

Maybe tomorrow.

You are missing my point. When NCYT dropped investors/punters thought it was game over. They ran for the doors because they seriously underestimated the potential. I have only highlighted NCYT as an example. When you look at the previous trials that have been conducted on COPD and asthma patients you get a feel for where this could go.

If you think NCYT is such a good bet why not invest there and not bother with SNG. I suspect the answer is because you want to have a "riskier" bet within your portfolio as this has a very good chance of coming right.

I managed to sell several thousand early on and then buy them back lower eventually, but was locked out for a while which was scarey.

NCYT will have millions in revenue, but a profit to suit valuation?

Completely different market. The potential reward for SNG is a log higher than NCYT probably more!

BTW 2.15 on NCYT was intraday and held that price for only a few moments at the time

Yes so which is riskier? NCYT with millions in revenues coming in each month or SNG with revenues if how much? Which is more speculative?

NCYT dropped from £2.15 to 65p and then soared to over £5. It would be stupid to say that no share carries risk but you have to look at how you mitigate that risk. I do not agree that this carries significant risk but some risk. 65p today may in your view be over rated but in a few weeks time if the share price is a lot higher will be seen as many as an absolute bargain. Let us agree to disagree.

Its well over 64p to sell 40k shares.

Yes and mine is that this is clearly speculative just like all the rest. Chances of success may be greater than some but it still carries significant risk - especially for new entrants at this price
