Post 3704 is way off the mark IMHO. We don't have long to wait for the results so I can't see anything happening before that in terms of emergency use. Happy to be proved wrong and I don't discount some sort of licensing deal ahead of the results.

the good thing here (freedosh and nobby correct me) is that SNG001 is NON specific (UNLIKE TEST KITS AND VACCINES) and therefore the stockpiles are "immune" (excuse the biotech pun) to changes in the nucleic acid sequence of the virus, ie the IF beta will work on various strains of the CORONA virus.

If six new coronaviruses have been discovered that are similar to COVID-19 but genetically different. I suspect the world is going to need stockpiles of SNG001. We don't want six repeats of what we currently are experiencing.

"EMERGENCY USE" announcement in next 7-10 days ?

Initially SNG had to wait 8 weeks to announce the results of their double blind Strial.

However, in the light of several recent Inhaled Interferon Beta trials that have just been published ,along with the Chinese government recommending only two drugs to treat Covid-19 , a HIV drug and Inhaled Beta Interferon twice a day, i believe that yesterdays announcement was evidence that they no longer need to wait the 8 weeks to start manufacturing and distributing SNG001 Globally.

One recent trial announced last week showed how Interferon Alpha was used to treat 77 moderate Covid-19 patients in WUHAN in Jan/Feb,at the height of the outbreak, in which ALL 77 out of 77 Covid-99 patients fully recovered.

Another recent trial last week said that Interferon Beta (used in SNG001) is 5-10 times more potent than the Interferon Alpha used in the above trial to "cure" all 77 patients.

The Chinese government also announced that they only recommended two drugs to treat Covid-19, one being a HIV drug and the other being inhaled Interferon Beta, twice daily.

SNGOO1 is on the W.H.O. list as a serious potential treatment for Covid-19. The UK MHRA and UK MRA fast-tracked SNG001 trials.

There have been several Covid-19 "Emergency Use" announcements in recent weeks from an "unproven" drug a couple of weeks ago, to the Novacyt (NCYT) test and now yesterday another FDA "Emergency Use" announced for a test from a University.

Further to this, in 2017, SNG had a $232m deal with Astrazeneca in which Astrazeneca pulled out. In the 3 years since then, SNG have completed successful trial of SNG and shown SNG001 to work for MERS and COPD and proven its SAFETY in humans.

On 09 Mar 2020, Astrazeneca renewed its relationship at Southampton University with Prof. Tom Wilkinson (head of SNG001 trial). 9 days later, SNG put the COPD trial on hold and started the Covid-19 trial...but Astrazeneca are still there.

On 18 Mar, SNG announced that they have been "been approached by, and is in discussion with, a number of other medical, scientific, and Governmental bodies (both in the UK, US and internationally) seeking to investigate novel therapeutics in this area."

With all the NEW clinical trial evidence that has come to light in the past week or so ,along with yesterdays unexpected upgrade to ""Urgent Public Health study" and the fact that SNG have been in discussions with Governments Worldwide since 18 Mar and that Astrazeneca have been with them at Southampton University since 09 Mar, i believe that yesterdays comment in the RNS "Further updates will be made in due course" will see an "Emergency Use" declaration and a Worldwide distribution agreement with Astrazeneca.

Of course, i could be totally wrong but i strongly believe that with the UK government under severe pressure,especially with the deaths in care homes, and the Worlwide pandemic still at its peak, we could see this happen in the next 7-10 days.

If we do, then i think we will see an NCYT type rise to £5+.
