USA d2w market update -

Better Earth signs exclusive supply agreement with TricorBraun

Symphony Environmental Technologies Plc (AIM:SYM), the global specialist in technologies that make plastic and rubber products smarter, safer and more sustainable, is delighted to announce that its USA distributor of d2w biodegradable plastics technology for nutritional supplement bottles, Better Earth LLC ("Better Earth") has signed an exclusive supply agreement with TricorBraun for its BioBottles(TM) brand of polyethylene bottles for the nutraceutical industry (the "Agreement").

TricorBraun is a global packaging company, and North America's largest distributor of primary packaging. It operates from more than 100 locations across the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Australia. TricorBraun sold over 8 billion containers in 2022 and is working jointly with Better Earth, supporting its exclusive Agreement with a sales and marketing campaign in the US and Canada.

Symphony entered into a two year exclusive USA-focused, d2w supply contract with Better Earth in February 2022. Better Earth subsequently launched its nutritional supplement bottles, caps, and scoops using Symphony ' s d2w biodegradable technology under Better Earth ' s BioBottles(TM) brand "Plastic IQ(TM) Technology". In November 2022, Symphony and Better Earth entered into a supplementary d2w supply contract extending the product scope to nutraceutical products, and expanding authorised geographies to include Canada.

Michael Laurier, CEO of Symphony, said:

"I am delighted to report that sales of d2w to our strategic partner Better Earth are expected to increase significantly in 2023 and beyond. Working with partners such as Better Earth and - by extension - with global packaging leader TricorBraun - Symphony is well placed to capture a share of the US and Canadian bottle markets, with additional verticals in the bottle market still available to target."

"More generally, partnerships such as these speak to an increased awareness in key markets of the efficacy of our d2w biodegradable technology. "

The owners of Better Earth, Adam Ackerman and James Van Brocklin, said:

" Our mission is to develop technologies that turn ordinary plastic products into earth-friendly materials at the end of their useful lives and we plan on doing this one product at a time. That ' s why we are delighted to be growing our commercial relationship with Symphony. By incorporating Symphony ' s d2w biodegradable technology in our BioBottles(TM) we are able to deliver positive change in the bottling industry and look forward to delivering sustainable bottling solutions for our key customers such as TricorBraun."

Rosalynd Resendiz, Vice President, Supply Chain, TricorBraun said:

"We are focused on offering sustainable packaging options for our customers-solutions that help protect both our customers' products and the planet. We are pleased to partner with Better Earth and Symphony to deliver a sustainable yet cost-effective solution."

Financially 2022 was a very poor year for the company revenue decreased whilst losses increased and as a result the share price fell from a high of 25p in January 2022 to a low of 6.75p in May 2023.

The company is trading a lot strongly so far in 2023 compared to 2022 and when this is confirmed in the H1 trading update this month the share price will start to rise again from the current low levels.

The supply agreement with TricorBraun for it's d2w BioBottles announced on 9th March 2023 will also contribute strongly this year.

Middle East manufacturing and sales on plan
Global sales increases in most sectors including d2w and d2p
Administrative cost base now set 25% lower than 2022 levels
Distribution costs significantly reduced due to generally lower shipping rates and efficiencies from the Middle East factory
Gross profit margins currently approximately 5% higher

SYMPHONY ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNOLOGIES PLC

AGM Statement

Symphony Environmental Technologies Plc (AIM:SYM), the global specialists in technologies that make plastic and rubber products smarter, safer and more sustainable, is pleased to provide the following update prior to its Annual General Meeting ("AGM") to be held today at 10.30 am.

At the AGM Nicolas Clavel, Interim Chairman of Symphony, will make the following statement:

Symphony's financial performance so far in 2023 has sharply improved from 2022, and as stated in the preliminary announcement just a month ago on 30 May 2023, the Board expect Symphony to move back into profitability in the coming months, underpinned by the following:

-- Middle East manufacturing and sales on plan
-- Administrative annual cost base now set 25% lower than 2022 levels
-- Distribution costs as a proportion of revenues reduced by 50% due to generally lower shipping rates and efficiencies from the Middle East factory

-- Gross profit margins at least 5% higher
This does not take into account the joint venture in India, where we wait for approval that plastic producers using d2w technology will become certified suppliers.

The near-term commercialisation of several of our key projects and resultant sales are significant, and we are confident in delivering positive updates throughout 2023.

As in previous years, the Company intends to provide a trading update during July.

============================================================================================================

30/05/2023:

In December we disclosed a GBP14.0 million annualised revenue run-rate target during H1 2023, and whilst the Board are focused on achieving this target, some key trials will extend into H2-2023. It is worth noting that as a result of the Group's improved cost base, higher gross margins and lower distribution and shipping costs, the previously anticipated resultant profit at this revenue level will be significantly higher than we previously anticipated.

Based upon the Group's trading in Q1-23 which saw a 27% increase in revenues (compared with Q1-22), and more recent trading in Q2, coupled with the benefits from the Middle East manufacturing plus further short term opportunities which are expected to come to fruition in the very near term, the Board expect Symphony to show a significantly stronger financial result for H1-2023 and move back into profitability in the very near term.

Symphony Environmental Technologies Plc (AIM:SYM), the global specialists in technologies that make plastic and rubber products smarter, safer and more sustainable, announces that Shaun Robinson, Non-Executive Director, has resigned from the Board of the Company to concentrate on his other business interests.

Shaun Robinson, commented:
"Having joined the plc Board in 2014, I have been part of the Company's journey for almost a decade. Whilst this has been a challenging period and has taken much longer than I expected, the company is now in a much stronger position with good traction with some of its key technologies and key markets. Accordingly, this is the right time for me to step off the Board and focus on my other business interests. I believe that stepping away will provide an opportunity for the Company to make new and independent appointments, with a fresh perspective and help take the Company through its next stage of evolution. I am and remain a firm supporter of Symphony and look forward to tracking its continued progress."

Michael Laurier, CEO, Symphony, commented:
"I would like to thank Shaun both personally and on behalf of the Board for his significant commitment and contribution to Symphony over the many years he has been part of our journey. He has been a very important and valuable member of the Board and we wish Shaun all the best going forward."

Swiss Paul (being ripped off) commented:
I would personally like to say to Shaun, have you been asleep at the wheel instead of holding these clowns to account for the abysmal performance during the time you have been taking a serious amount of wedge for doing what???. Swiss further commented adding that he felt sorry for the shareholders in the company to which this clown was now heading.

On a more positive note we hope the costs of board remuneration will now decrease to a more realistic level, but we won't hold our breath on that one!

Their is no better Example of a CEO Statement giving an extremely bullish outlook for absolutely nothing to be achieved in the following 12 months .Then repeat for the same to happen again

Swiss Paul there really is no point. Interestingly losses for past 2 years total circa £4,330,00 with board pay £1,151,000 just doesn't make sense bearing in mind continual losses and jam tomorrow. Totally unacceptable imho!

Sold 60% of my holding for 40% loss at 12p, kept the rest on a "just in case" basis (which is almost certainly futile!!!). Not sure how the management have managed to stay in place and get away with it for so long 😏

The Board should be congratulated share price 20.05.2023 16.25p a year later despite all the hype and wonderful days ahead it is 6.88p. Surely their should be a change of management getting rid of the OAPs!

I should have sold out already but was expecting several inflection points as per the December RNS almost guaranteed news.
Anyway that’s history but without meaningful news or Successful EU ruling it’s only heading lower and 7p will probably look a great get out price in six months
