A forecast of 6p, forecasts can be wrong - I should know.

No, an interim of 3p in April, which is approx 1/3 of forecast divi, so final divi of 6p making 9p pa.

OK - I stand corrected - interim divi of 3p to be paid in APRIL 23 - still an annualised amount of 11p for last 12 months - we'll see if they can match or beat the 8p in the next Final. [edited]

Dividend Policy

The Board has reviewed the Company's Dividend Policy and effective 1 July 2022, the New Dividend Policy will be able to pay out a minimum of 40% of adjusted free cash flow for the financial year. Where annual dividends are declared, these will be paid in two tranches with an interim dividend equating to one third of the forecast full dividend and the final dividend equating to the remaining unpaid balance of the minimum of 40% of actual adjusted free cash flow.

So a payment of approx.6p final divi. How close to 6p it is depends on accuracy of the HY forecast for FY free cash flow.

Any ideas whether the other player Tharisa could be affected by power cuts?

The 3p payable in March is the interim dividend, one third of the full dividend, so that would make the full divi 9p for the year? So a payment of 6p in the final divi.

And they have backup power in place which is important. Any ideas whether the other player Tharisa could be affected by power cuts?

I think it just shows how quickly the MM's mark up a ST IC tip. I expect it to be down on Monday and resume the downtrend inline with the PGM basket price.

Today's rise bodes well for next Tuesday.

From IC article:

The production report also revealed that Sylvania has earned $46,4mn of
cash profit across the first two quarters of its 2022-23 financial year,up
from $36.2mn in the same period in 2021, on slightly higher net revenue of
$70mn. This will become apparent when the group reports its interim
results on Tuesday, 21st of February. Sylvania is set to report 32 per cent higher
net profit of $32,2mn.

Surely Edison Group is being too pessimistic with regards to future dividends per share when the likely profit and cash position is considered. I can see no reason for a cut in the dividends per share which is being predicted by Edison Group. The final dividend for 2022 of eight pence a share was not predicted by any financial organisation as far as I am aware.

You and many like you with similar trading styles will be doing the same. Hopefully you will still be able to get in at a low price.

I have traded in and out here a few times. Successfully on occasion, other times not. The underlying cash & the divi yield always feel compelling - but I have tended to watch the direction of travel of the underlying commodity charts in the header when weighing up when to time my entry and exit. Rightly or wrongly, I take them as a crude proxy for sentiment. They haven't been encouraging me to buy of late. I'm sitting on my SLP cash until they show signs of turning.

Just a view.

To quote the great man “Price is what you pay, value is what you get.” I've recently topped up, too cheap by far when below 100p
