The flu has a death rate of 0.1 Covid 19 is 2.0

80 million expected to die worldwide in the first year unless it can be stopped.
It cant be stopped.
Prevention for at least 18 months is whats hoped for to give the labs time to come up with even a half good vaccine.
It normally takes 20 yrs.

Don't forget once you have had coronovirus you can't get it again. Eventually everyone who is going to catch it will have had it and go back to work and the shops etc. Each of them will be out for 2-3 weeks apart from those who die. The world will return to normal just like it does after a flu epidemic. A vaccine may reduce severity if it can be made in time. It is unlikely that a vaccine will take more than 6-8 months to develop as we produce a new flu vaccine every year and vaccines against other coronovirus strains have previously been made.
