Added at just over 36 for a small trading lot. JLP is my main holding in this sector, and the intraday has been truly cynical. It's currently up and looks like ending the day so.

It's settling at 36p, absorbing the selling. If you can't handle stocks that move around this much then small mining companies should be off the table. Trading vs investing etc, if your outlook is for a year or two they seem solid at the moment.

It's fortunate that the Market is up 70pts - or could have been a lot worse.

Thanks. It does look like 35p was bounce point unless a dead cat. I sold so probably means up tomorrow! Not enough nerve ...,

Hi CowardlyLion!
Good comparison. I'm thinking the interim results due in 3 weeks will send this share back to its highs, or even higher. Especially if the company announce an interim dividend or a share buyback.
On fundamentals, this is a crazy low price for these shares. Do we have a forced distressed seller?

Interesting parallels with TSG which reported record results last week, got trashed 20% and is now back where it started after rising 20% in the last 2 days. If anything SLPs fundamentals are better, will it do likewise?

Never nice to take a big loss, most of us have been there at one time or another.

Thanks for all the advice but I sold out at a pretty big loss. I do have bad luck when I buy shares. Maybe I can’t handle the stress of more loss, and not sleep at night.
This will the signal for a bounce back no doubt.
I could have sold at 38p this morning. Wasn’t ready for this today although the chart looked like it might test 35p and bounce.

Papers are reporting that in SA, gangs of thugs with AK 47s are allegedly running around robbing mine smelters etc. Police cant cope.SA will soon have junk status at this rate

Agree on the fundamentals for sure. But why such a huge drop in 2 days. Then where does it end?
-----------------------------------------------------------------
When the buying stops and the bargain hunters move back in. It did something similar at start of 2019, since when it (more than) doubled.

Personally, my biggest priority is being able to sleep well at night, so whatever allows you to do that, I would advise as sensible.

Maybe I ought to just turn the pc off and just not look for a month and hope! Has the share done this before? Thanks

Got the chart thanks. Feels like it’s in free fall and tempted to bail out :)

Maybe worth observing the fundamentals before you do so... and the dividend?
But each to his own.
