If anyone is interested , the 60000 trade at 3.788 shown as a 'sell' was actually me topping up my holding. We can assume therefore that the earlier trades of 200,000 each at about the same price today were also'buys'
Good to see I'm not the only one at last optimistic about prospects for the future.

You know how these MM's work , sometimes they work a trade in later in the day , even after 18.00 hrs I am not kidding.

Sometimes the trades don't get reported at all .... again I am not kidding

Not saying re SUN , but it does happen.

I would say it was an early buy

I have just been working on a post re SUN and AMS which I shall post soon when I get it finished.

It will make good reading I can assure you

Good luck with your picks

Small Caps like SUN with a good experienced leader with a good track record are hard to find like you say.

The chart of SUN is shaping up very well indeed

Good news will lift it from here without too much effort

I like charts

Tks,Since very early March, long term hold, this is not a trading stock really.

Doubt any launches before the autumn but happy to hold, investors are definitely trawling the markets for little gems, hopefully this will be one of them in time! Also in WEY, IGE,VLS, KMK for the same reasons.

Patience required until it finally powers north for a breakout on heavy vols.

I am right here am I not 2017 H1 ended on June 30th ? and Q2 2017 is the same end date June 30th ?

Surely the company deems the launch of new products worthy of an RNS ... I do hope so

Surgical Innovations Group PLC Final Results

14 March 2017

''The greater emphasis placed on new product introduction culminated in the launch of the Yelloport (TM) Elite range in the final quarter of 2016, this will be followed by further additions to this range in Q2 2017 as well as two more projects launching before the end of H1. The Group is excited to be able to offer these products to the market and remains committed to expanding the portfolio of products available further in 2017 and beyond.''

The number of shares in both RNS's is 22,129,589

Just a few more in existence now as some of the BOD are taking shares instead of wages

Hence the slight lower %age for Chris Rea ... whose music I might add is rather good

News please as promised H1 is past

There was a brief update included in the AGM statement on 26 June. The tone was positive. The key phrase was the company continues to be "cash generative".

A quiet Board this is, I hope to see it come to life in due course.

Re latest RNS it is good to see Chris Rea still holds 3.95% of SUN.
I hope his brains/input on the engineering projects that SUN do in a small way might grow.
From last results
Precision Engineering (PE)

The Group undertook further PE projects in the period adding GBP0.21m to turnover (2015: GBP0.05m). Revenue from this segment is unpredictable, but the Group remains interested in this field and continues to work with new and existing partners to identify innovative projects on which to collaborate.

I understand the company have managed to manufacture a flexible probe, using something along the lines of the pretzelflex type of device , which can be used on aircraft along with a mini camera to inspect various locations , like fuel tanks , engines , and other inaccessible places WITHOUT having to take apart or dismantle the areas needing inspection thus saving man hours and keeping planes in the air.

Perhaps the newly acquired metal injection moulding equipment which has now been successfully trialed , might be used in the PE division, as well as for the metal parts of the MIS laparoscopic or OEM instruments .

Now that is interesting re Taiwan and the

''we have begun building partnerships with these companies, which we feel represent both short-term and long term opportunities for Surgical Innovations.''

bit.

I wonder if the 'ligature' development is with a company based in Taiwan, it would not surprise me.

Could our next acquisition be one in Taiwan .... to springboard increased market penetration into Asia ?

Also note the PLURAL companies .... so at least two Taiwanese companies involved in partnerships with SUN .... I like it.

I don't see Belarus mentioned though.

HERE WE GO

Recently the Global Sales Manager, Chris Rawnsley went on a UKTI and Medilink sponsored trip to both Taiwan and China, while combining this with visits to Surgical Innovations distribution network in Japan, Thailand and Korea.

The first stage involved distribution training for the new distributor in South Korea, along with relationship building with our current partners in Japan and Thailand. The second stage took us on to Taiwan, which provided us with a unique opportunity to forge new relationships both in the way of distribution partners and also strategic partners, which align with the companies strategy moving forward.

“Taiwan is the 21st largest economy in the world, and the No.1 for entrepreneurship. As a result some of the companies coming out of Taiwan in our field are at the cutting edge of innovation, and we have begun building partnerships with these companies, which we feel represent both short-term and long term opportunities for Surgical Innovations.

SE Asia continues to be a significant part of Surgical Innovation’s focus, specifically Japan, where our partner is now our 2nd largest distributor for our flagship Yelloport+ product line. 2nd only to the UK.

With Yelloport Elite being launched shortly we have highlighted Japan as a key strategic partner for this product launch, and we believe this has the potential to offer continued growth in this market.” – Chris Rawnsley, Global Sales Manager.

You have a point

However anything above 10% will be very well received thank-you very much

And you might be right, whilst inventories have fallen back into planned levels , which is good.

Margins have also improved.

If SUN decides at some point to add a couple of new direct sales people in-house then there is an opportunity to drive margins even higher from where they are now.The distributor route is working well for now , but as resources allow , perhaps the BOD might look at selling some products direct to market if the new website can be tweaked to allow for such.

I hope so.
