Someone dumped 1M shares, every other trade today is a buy IMO. Hopefully that's the last of the people still willing to take a 50% profit from the placing? Who can blame them I suppose, in these uncertain times...

It.s a very serious board here...no laughter allowed. Still binary though here. Either a massive win or nowt for me. Aim is dire - more fantasy than 2 tier kier

What, on the carbon fibre bog seat ? (I suspect Amang's dealer might have bunged him a particularly potent batch of crack) :-D

geco5trade. It certainly sounds excellent news, prima facie. However OEM’s need to know the actual number of CONSISTENT and SALEABLE output for many months, and also SCE’s prices.

Hopefully, they will then decide that SCE’s output will be produced at a sufficiently reliable volume, including stocks. Provided of course both that they are indeed superior over Brembo and can be priced to provide sufficient profit for the OEM’s to be able to justify making all the changes they then need.

Mr Bundred could so easily have mentioned yields, or that the output had increased further since the (admirable but insufficient) doubling in the four weeks ending 12 July, or given the number of saleable discs now in stock.

Or surely at least whether SCE was now making an EBITDA profit. Time to consider substantial investment still seems to be only after the audited FY 2024 results are published.

Bagpuss67 11840, yes should. And should be possible hence why I now hold what I’d only describe as a punt here. I’d need to see a change of management before I’d call it an investment.

At least now with output stable/on the up SCE should be able to meet it's delivery schedules and continue to rebuild the confidence of it's customers. Any sign that they are moving the dial on yield and hence improving profitability and cashflow and this should take off IMHO

fft, good point. At that stage investors were probably too busy trying to decipher some other part of the announcement to dwell on it. However the purpose of RNS announcements is to inform the market and complying with that obligation is one of the responsibilities of a listed company. This company is exceptional in that after every RNS PI’s are left scratching their heads trying to work out what they’ve said and what some opaque convoluted sentence actually means. It is listed as an essential criteria so must have some relevance and importance.

The 'commerciallly confidential' whatever was also included in the last LTIP after the fundraise last November. DB had not mentioned leaving the job at that point !Problem with something like that is that it is impossible to monitor.

Yes I can see new products for new markets but if they come up with some scheme whereby profits are intended to be ploughed back into R and D and expansion on the promise of a greater future for all, at some point, then I think we should be allowed to drag the board kicking and screaming from the building to a place of...
Surely in this instance, even in an age of swift and selective prosecution, any reasonable judge would accept the shareholders' plea of diminished responsibility.

cash - could be anything. I know they were interested in making smaller discs for smaller cars. As far as I'm concerned this is the real target for these discs: they currently sell in what I think of as the behemoth market - big, heavy, fast cars - where the selling point is their repeated stopping power.

But does a saving of a few kilos really matter when the car weighs over 2 tonnes and the driver hardly ever drives it to its full capability? However when you get below 1000Kg, or even in the case of say a Riversimple below 600Kg, being able to save say 25Kg in unsprung weight is crucially important.

So it could be that. Or it could be changing the surface coating, or simplifying the manufacturing process - less time in the furnaces would be a huge gain - or pretty much anything...

The most important thing to remember though, is that whatever it is, however wonderful, this management must not be allowed to introduce the change to production, under any circumstances.

The discs can now technically provide a further mile of use with a new employee keeping the method a secret?

Or perhaps, a new employee?
