03/11/2023 09:52 | Think I'd wait and see when the 30 and 50 smas change on the chart they look set for more downside . Wether it coincides with the placing before this can start to recover . Must be deflating after so many years of waiting to see it back at these levels . Why aim is such a gamble | ![]() bones698
03/11/2023 09:40 | Perhaps a 3m placing for working capital and then hope that by April of next year they are selling 2m per month and making a decent profit | ![]() amt

03/11/2023 09:20 | Unfortunately looking more and more like a jam tomorrow and failing to get there share . Still time to sort it out but the more hiccups and fund raises required just dilute future potential . I remember the days of geo and the tech boom too that was crazy . Now it seems aim and small caps are getting hammered due to financing . Unfortunately failing to reach break even when expected isn't great news . I'm sure there will be plenty sat on the sidelines here but after many years of waiting it seems the wait will go on and on | ![]() bones698
03/11/2023 09:19 | There's many a slip 'twixt the cup and the lip....or something like that. Given the share price slippage today's news was predictable for those with a cynical outlook. Nevertheless, with many years of know-how and experience now in terms of perfecting the product, a huge order pipeline, only one competitor globally, and an increasing need for their products, SCE remain in an enviable position. For newbies and those looking to top up this is an ideal oportunity imo. Let's hope the cap.ex facility is successfully concluded with at worst a small-ish fundraising and/or other financing for working capital. As someone stated above, if the OEMs are as keen on SCE's products as they appear to be, then surely they should be prepared to finance the incredibly small sums (by their standards) necessary at a few % above base rate were SCE to approach them. | ![]() rivaldo
03/11/2023 09:13 | At current market cap of £40M must be registering on many vultures radar. How much could they get us for? I suspect Bembo would not like us to be taken out by deep pocket PE and might well decide to step in if it ever came to a bidding war. That is of course if the management and their suppliers can solve the current and possible technical problems PDQ. | ![]() pugugly
03/11/2023 09:07 | I remember buying ARM at 50p and selling at 55p Looks like SCE is going to need a fundraise. Will be worth a punt after that I think | ![]() volsung
03/11/2023 09:07 | Reminds me of FA., Fire Angel. Years of excuses with promise of jam tomorrow. And replacing every production or financial failure, with yet another. For now I feel this is one for short term bottom fishers and gamblers. Possibly investors with a truly disciplined five year strategy. For the rest in my opinion, avoid for now. Bullet dodged. | ![]() microscope
03/11/2023 09:04 | Bones, TRK was on my radar for a long time but never got invested. If I had a crystal ball I would go back to 1999 and buy ARM, Baltimore and Autonomy. | ![]() spookies
03/11/2023 08:55 | Problem is the order book is mostly years away and they have to get there which is proving problematic to say the least . More manufacturing issues before they have even ramped up production and now finances under the microscope . A placing coming and issues to be resolved . Now whilst a change of bod members might be needed it does tend to slow things down even more whilst they get settled in etc . I reckon it will end the day around 15p but confidence took a big dent today and can see a few storm clouds on the horizon here . Wait for the dust to settle and financing sorted first though imo Spookies where you in Trk too ? You seem to have looked at similar shares to myself but luckily I have avoided those . Always seems there are plenty that go under but very few succeed . | ![]() bones698
03/11/2023 08:54 | Well I opened a small June spreadbet at 17.2 with a guaranteed stop at 11 - hope over experience! | ![]() toffeeman
03/11/2023 08:52 | Amazing that Directors made those purchases. In theory this outcome should already be reflected in the share price but in these markets it isn't. Hope the new team can sort this mess out | ![]() amt
03/11/2023 08:51 | Been here since 2016 adding all along the way. While it is disappointing to see the share price where it is today, I am not concerned. I always told myself it would be a long haul, My objective is to still be holding these in my ISA in 2027. I did invest in a company called NXT, actually bought an NXT Wharfdale flat speaker set. It took 20 years of slow grind for NXT to go bust. I really hope history is not repeating itself. At least Surface Transforms has the orders, a world class product, a great team, and are doing all they can to succeed. Could not resist adding a few more today. | ![]() spookies
03/11/2023 08:50 | That’s understandable Albert! Not only my head too but my wife’s pension account is looking a bit sicker. Good job she pays no attention…R | ![]() bones

03/11/2023 08:41 | Albert Einstein, it’s now a £400M order book now that OEM10 added another £100M recently in committed contracts. Sounds like the customers are taking this in their strides albeit that is the home side talking. | ![]() bones

03/11/2023 08:37 | Agree with your last sentence PF. The company sorely needs heavyweight help on a commercial level. The product and positioning they have is far too important to leave in the hands of an inadequately resourced board of directors. New blood certainly required at the top. | ![]() bones
03/11/2023 08:36 | This should be one of the biggest success stories on AIM, a £300m order book and a £400m prospective order pipeline. Instead, management's incompetence has led us here. Not to mention the insider dealing which has clearly been happening in recent weeks. | ![]() albert_einstein
03/11/2023 08:32 | I told it’s just PIs trading-no big holders budging which is helpful. There will be management meetings next week and I will be choosing my words carefully Stepping back though, some perspective needed here-but if I was chairman, I would be seriously looking at a JV or partnership arrangement as being wholly independent is causing indigestion | ![]() pinkfoot2
03/11/2023 08:27 | ...until they have to go to the market for a raise to finance WC. | ![]() puzzler2
03/11/2023 08:24 | Ps check your mail | ![]() bones698
03/11/2023 08:24 | I guess another option would be a strategic partner who took a meaningful stake (from trade not PE) say 25% and provided some heavyweight manufacturing support and maybe some financial support as well. Or as someone commented some form of help with WC from the customers. But then you may be into them taking security for advance payments etc. | ![]() bagpuss67
03/11/2023 08:17 | I also expect a change at the top-read into that what you may | ![]() pinkfoot2 |
