There not sells the majority are buys below the mid price.

There is a block of shares up for sale and that's why the share price has been held back however once they are cleared it will start on its move back up.

I'm guessing it Steve Rawling estate shares.

Yep, someone is offloading at the moment. It could be one of the funds like Harwood or Chelverton or the steve rawling estate ? I've got the feeling its one of those three.

Volumes are decent, and it's pretty obvious that most of the trades today are buys at anywhere between 79.1p-80p, so clearly imo there's an overhang of shares.

As usual in these situations, it's a good opportunity to top up whilst shares are available at favourable prices for those who believe in the company and have a little patience.

The Naked Trader in his bi-weekly column late this afternoon has bought more SUR - which should bring in further interest over the nexr few days:

"I’ve averaged up in Sureserve. SUR A nice off the radar share gradually rising and I think worth upwards of 100p. It’s probably just perceived to be boring but it’s the boring ones that often double in value.

It looks too cheap at under 100p - value investors should get interested."

Shore Capital have issued an update note regarding today's appointment. They also reiterate their forecasts as follows:

this year to Sept'21 : 6.6p EPS, 1.5p dividend, £11.8m net cash
next year to Sept'22 : 7.8p EPS, 2p dividend, £18.4m net cash

"Sureserve’s two Services divisions offer, in our view, high revenue visibility from typically three to five-year contracts:

Compliance underpinned by the regulatory necessity to monitor safety of gas and other utilities in social housing;

and Energy Services by national and local government commitments to insulation, plus innovative heat pumps and vehicle charging points–both, in our view, key areas in the growing ESG investment credentials.

Following the Group’s 18 May interims (see results note, Sweeping upgrades after strong first half), we upgraded our FY2021F PBT, EPS and dividend estimates by 8%, 7% and 20% respectively and made significant upgrades to profit, net cash and dividend forecasts for the following two years. The valuation, in our view, looks very compelling at a FY2022F P/E of 10.2x."

Looks like a good appointment this morning as the new Chairman - with the CEO to follow "to drive growth and execute the Group's buy-and-build strategy":

All sounds great but since the interims the share price has struggled to get above 80p!! I thought maybe mid 80s by now.

Master Investor's Mark Watson-Mitchell updated on Friday night as follows, looking for "well over 100p within months":

"Sureserve Group (LON:SUR) – the improvement continues

“Well positioned for growth” is how the compliance and energy services group described its prospects when it declared its interims to end-March earlier this week.

Revenues were up 4.6% at £114.6m while pre-tax profits were 30.6% better at £4.4m. Earnings came in at 2.2p per share at the halfway stage.

Impressively, the group’s order book at that stage was £371.6m, compared to the same period last year of £323.7m.

Net cash was a strong £9.7m (£3.5m).

Analyst Alastair Stewart, at the group’s brokers Shore Capital, estimates that sales for this year to end-September will be around £243.1m (£195.7m), rising to £263.9m next year, and to £284.7m in 2023.

In that same time span he is going for adjusted pre-tax profits of £12.9m this year (£9.4m), £15.4m next year and £17.0m in 2023. With earnings improving from 6.6p this year (4.9p), to 7.8p next year and then 8.4p per share the year after.

On those estimates I see the group’s shares rising from the current 80p to well over 100p within months.

Professional as always, former boss Bob Holt left the group in very good shape when he stepped back from his chairman position and from the board in mid-March this year. He had done his job, having reshaped the group since joining it in July 2016."

Even after today's rise, at 82p SUR is still trading on an ex-cash P/E of only 9.7 for the year starting in October, given the 6p per share of cash and the 7.8p EPS forecast.
