I've just sold out for the time being. Like this share and will keep a close watch. No reason other than personal opinions about the market in general. I wanted to bank a decent profit on this after seeing quite a few shares in recent weeks swing from healthy paper profit to annoying 6-7% paper losses. I'll keep a close eye and any significant drops may buy back in. Hopefully for holders there won't be any!

Not sure if the contract win with Ipswich borough council as been highlighted before runs until 2025 £5.1m Aaron services

Very nice contract win award today for Sure Maintenance - looks like an initial £0.81m which could potentially rise to up to almost £8.1m if it's extended through to 2025 if my interpretation is correct? Https://bidstats.uk/tenders/2021/W12/747438178

MM's are biding 71.2p for up to 150,000 shares today. They are after stock, must be a buyer(s) around.

You can sell a substantial amount @ 72p. Excellent recovery, when its a fairly dull day on the markets.

At least we have tested a new all time high. Seems like the share price has a habit of spiking up, then dropping before a more sustained rise. Let's hope the same happens here again. Certainly a nice trend upwards on the 12 month chart!

Went to the website to see shareholder composition and how it has changed since 18. 6. 20. We seem to have said goodbye to such Lake house stalwarts as Birrane, McMahon and Black and said hello to Chelverton and Downing with an increase by Slater. I feel happier with these changes. We still have the Rawlings Estate with 10.95pc and I have no idea how long they will hang around.

For all their successes to date, nothing in the resumes of Leggett and Smith suggest that they have the operational background that the CEO of a company like Sureserve needs. Reminded myself that Christopher Miles is on the board so it might have been quite a bust up.

For the record, Shore Capital yesterday reiterated their forecasts of 6p EPS this year (1.3p dividend), rising to 6.7p EPS for the year starting 1st October this year (1.5p dividend), having a week or so ago suggested a fair value of above 100p: "Estimates unchanged and positive view remains. We maintain our view of the Group’s attractions, outlined in our 9 March report, Energy supplement. We believethe two divisions offer high revenue visibility from typically multi-year contracts: Compliance, underpinned by the regulatory necessity to monitor safety in social housing; and Energy Services, by national and local government commitments to carbon reduction. We see Sureserve as combining growth, low risk and cash generation. Our estimates are unchanged and we believe the shares continue to offer good value, P/E 10.4x FY 23F, explored further in our 9 March note."

Its probably something connected with his future financial package, favourable share options, etc etc he felt he deserved but the board declined and Bob walked out ? Ps Big Sam won't stop west brom from going down, Simon.....

That interesting the 4 large late reported trades are all buys! 400k at 71.856 and 380k at 72p and 360k at 71.85 and 370k at 72p. Someone took advantage... back up tomorrow!

Maybe the Non-Execs thought he was too Sam Allardyce, he'd saved them from relegation and now they want a Brendan Rodgers figure? It does look like he was fired. The best companies coach through the next leader. Maybe the CFO will get it?

I agree with Rivaldo comments and in fact it may be better to hand the baton on to the new guy to take it to the next level. I see the share price setback of 4p as nothing and IMO we should be looking at the bigger picture!

Surely a buying opportunity. Trading going well, we had the update a while back. New highs breached. This is a good opportunity for new people to get in and long and strong holders to top up should they wish. I'm a holder and staying put for the time being. This doesn't influence my opinion of the company. Yes, there's uncertainty around why the announcement, but equally this could be an opportunity to move the company further on.

You may be right on your first point Simon, though the company are very unlikely to spill details over the phone to some random PI! I disagree on the second - I've seen RNS's with no explanations, only to find out at some later point that it was due to ill health. Many people like their privacy and don't want the world knowing or worrying. I'm happy to hold as imo SUR are so cheap and hold plenty of potential for a substantial rise, especially as the RNS seems to confirm exciting stuff coming soon, but can quite understand your caution.
