And most of my vegetable patch isn’t doing well this year. Got blight on some of my potatoes, an even worse black fly infestation on the broad beans than usual and late development of everything else. I’ve harvested a few potatoes, courgettes and broad beans but that’s all so far!

It’s now almost 2 months since the fund raise and with no real income or sign of the promised money from TAG, the cash must be getting low so AZ must be thinking about the next source of money. Does he go the bucket shop route again because that is assured to trash the price. However you have to suspect that there are limited alternatives so beggars can’t be choosers…

In the mid to late 70`s In Southend on Sea It was £80/£100 plus a day off for LGO`s..

No one mentioned tax on it but gawd help you if you Popped over the road to HMRC to complain about your Tax code...

I get about £340 in total for beings a PO whilst a PC gets about £225, although it does vary from constituency to constituency.

Meanwhile I see PPE continues to be roasted by Theanalyzer on LSE. PPE claims the charge is not relevant but of course DW will want his €70 million, which is legally enforceable. It spells big trouble for AZ because it could bankrupt him although I doubt DW will go that far. He could clean out all AZ’s shares though and dump at least some of them to get some cash back.

The importance of the charge is not to be underestimated…;..

Nobby ,what`s the rate for doing the PO job these days? I did it in the seventies While being a Local Government officer and we got a paid day off plus out fee in cash and mileage!
