I’ve just taken a look at Ted Baker and compared with Supergroup. I don’t think I’m being biased when I say that the fundamentals of Supergroup are far better than Ted Baker.

Whilst it appears that Operating margin and EPS growth is better at TB the Free Cash Flow tells a different story. TB net debt is rising while SG cash is accumulating. Admittedly this is partially due to TB paying dividends.

SG fundies are far better on the following:

PE ratio
PEG ratio
EV/EBITDA
Price to sales
Price to FCF
Price to book
Price to tangible book
Net gearing
Interest cover
Current ratio
Cash ratio

The fundies that TB excels at are mostly undermined by its FCF.

You have to decide for yourself whether you think TB is too expensive on a PE of 28 or SG too cheap at 18.
