What's gone wrong with these? They are back to October 2020 level. Bought then and now showing a small loss. Are they being affected by Chinese energy problems/taxation/corruption or anything else? I wonder if there are worries over the yield which is quite high for an AIM stock although only growing at less than 2% per annum according to ADVFN.

They work very hard to protect their ip and are realty successful at keeping out the competition. Makes for a great moat!

My kettle switch just broke and as it was a £40 Morphy Richards , the mean recycler in me took it apart. I was pleased to see that the switch is Strix and there seem to few alternative cheaper replacements. Not many cheap Chinese rip-offs I thought , then remembered this is now a purveyor of Chinese goods after all.
Gave up on the repair , read the TU and decided to try and make £40 back by adding at what now seems a cheap price...226 .
One of the highest yield AIM shares now , and covered 1.5X

According to the 'market' no one is going to need new kettles in the forseeable future!!

What do they think they know?

All my UK PF is blue apart from this. Need seller to be out quick so the share price isn't depressed for much longer. The drop has been very painful since the director sell.

Just to get back to basics from time to time. Here is how electric kettles work, Strix is mentioned

So 50% fib retracement is circa 250p (so about now)

Should that fail 220p would be the target

I did pick up a few at 245.5

Hopefully better than my buy at 280 in the not too distant past. Makes this one of my larger holdings.

Hopefully will have some cash spare to top up at the months end!

Me too. Perhaps the debt bit spooked a few - when markets are nervous they focus on the negatives. Presumably that will unwind as they use the stock.

I thought the update was decent and was expecting a better reaction.

Decent enough statement-ftse futures are pointing heavily to the red, let’s hope we can buck the trend.

I think results should be good with everyone working from home and breaking their kettles!

I think a lot rides on whether their Italian acquisition is delivering, and acquisitions usually underwhelm.

Certainly true at the moment, but the share price since the September high is quite shocking given the dominant market position, growth and broker target. It surely can't be all down to the Director sales. An update should be in days and this needs to be strong to reverse the current action.

All small caps are being routed regardless of what they do. If it’s was happening to the FT100 it would be headline news. Think AIM is 15% off it’s highs, it’s a bear market and fair to say I’ve been hit hard.

And another big blow to the price. I would have thought a company doing something boring like kettle switches would be a safe place to invest in volatile times, but I think all the small caps are getting hit today

Probably due a TU next week. This hasn’t really recovered since the large director sells in oct. All my December gains wiped out in most of my holdings

All my stocks that had fallen on no news (mostly on Aim ..which has taken a pounding) are now gently going up on no news. This kind of makes sense to me.

Certainly a great company and not that expensive either

Price breaks back above the 50 and 200 day simple moving average. With a bit of volume should continue to climb now.
