I took profits here. Gut feeling only. Keeping a close eye on it, in case I get the chance to return. Original target was 110p, since you asked. Not company-specific. If this is only a small breather before a rapid return to 100p and beyond, then GLA and I hope you get back to 300p plus soon.

Yes, I thought the same, although am no technician, so do not actually know if the charts suggest that, or a different resistance point to 115p.

115p might well be a barrier as that was the placing price.

Looks like I am not going to get my 85p. If we can break the 99.81p 50 DMA, then hopefully that will lead to another decent leg up. GLA.

When you consider the rise the other day, the share price is holding up well. I know that will not be of comfort to those currently underwater here, but nonetheless. darrin is right though - that update will be fairly crucial. Not in the longer term perhaps, but certainly short term. GLA.

We will have an update in 2 weeks which will give an update on customer closures in China. Knowing that and looking at a 12 month chart, it would appear best to wait and see at the moment.

The woes are indeed short-term.

And the largest developer of kettle technology in the world will remain the largest developer of kettle technology in the world.

Short term China woes:

Surging infections following the abrupt reversal of zero-Covid pushed activity off a cliff as people became ill or stayed home for fear of catching the virus. Factory production and new orders in December both contracted the most since April 2022, during Shanghai’s lockdown.

That is exactly what attracted me to Strix in the first place. It is possible the 115p placement will act as resistance when the times comes, but IMO sub one pound is cheap in the short/medium term. Obvious caveats of course. I will probably buy some more if we revisit circa 85p, but happy to hold at this level and wait for my target price if not.

It's still struggling at this level, while most other shares are moving firmly ahead, so 85p is still quite likely a possibility. A target price of a 100p. and furthermore to even hold that level looks far enough away to me right now.

Considering there was a placement price of 115p 3 short months ago, with a profits warning soon after it, this still has a long way to go just to reach that lowly level.

Thanks for the comments guys. Lovewins you must have read my mind, I've just increased holding with a sizeable buy at 90.5p - not much worse than if I'd bought yesterday morning.

Expecting this to bag at least once this year (and based on the historic chart could 3 bag with a very fair wind). :)

That does sound very annoying, but yes, hopefully this has more room to run. I would not be surprised to see a small pull back soon, which might give you a window of opportunity, if you do not like to 'chase' a stock after such a rise. Maybe people are going to wait and see if we test the 50 DMA first though (I am anyway). You should chase your broker for some compensation!

Plenty of opportunity Archy - just look at the chart. I too was unable to get in front of a screen this am so have added in the low 90s. Undervalued now and with China re-opening, and kettles being an essential rather than a nice to have, the share price should recover from here.

I had been focused on a couple of other stocks on Friday, so totally missed the volume here that day. IMO it must be further ii buying, but maybe another one reducing, or the share price would have risen considerably more, realistically. In the circumstances, fairly orderly it would seem. Still think anything sub a quid is cheap (more in a happier marketplace) but time will tell. Next week most of the serious players will be back at their desks, so we should get a better indication for the direction of travel for the early part of Q1.

Yes, was getting concerned that this stock was not rallying with the rest of the market over the last few sessions. Someone has decided that this stock is cheap, so let's see if this large volume generates some interest (someone of course had to sell in order to fill the buying interest - or visa versa).
