19/12/2016 18:21 | CC that's great, 10p a share from Bahar ........ Only problem is they will probably deposit the money in a Turkish bank account to which we have no access without their signature too as we need a Turkish signatory on the account. The sum will then be locked in until such time as all closure costs on the account and money transfer fees are factored in, but this will have many variables which will not be disclosed to investors due to the originator of the funds being a private company bla, bla, blah | exbiz
19/12/2016 18:19 | Begs all types of questions. But why wouldn't the partners wait until sufficient cash is in the Bank to pay off Bahar's construction costs ? Stratex is not strapped for cash yet. Is this wait and go for a straight pay out of Bahar's construction costs or something sinister ? Marcus has a smile on his face is it sincere ? His record is on the line. | corguv
19/12/2016 17:54 | Charlie , there is absolutely NO chance of Bahar paying 10 p for this dog. The situation is obviously not in STI 's control or they would have spoken before now. Bahar are clearly calling the shots and STI will not come out well as they hold no aces . Who would believe after a full years production we are not allowed to know anything. Are they frightened to tell us | juju44
19/12/2016 17:43 | gf - I have no idea | charles clore
19/12/2016 16:43 | Why would the new Chairman repeatedly assure individuals OFF THE RECORD that everything is fine? Occam's razor: because it's not. | greedfear
19/12/2016 14:36 | Better than letting the banks siphon it from your savings though. | charles clore
19/12/2016 12:18 | 2 full years of dead money | juju44
19/12/2016 11:35 | Let's face it, we aren't getting anything new until the new year. Sorry Tiny Tim, no turkey this year, but there'll be a big lump of African rock and soil in your stocking and an IOU signed by Bob and Chris!!! | romeike
19/12/2016 11:33 | It's nearly TURKEY time and it looks like baked beans all round for Stratex shareholders! | goldenshare888
19/12/2016 10:28 | Charles, yes by "operation" I mean the joint venture company. I'd like to have some kind of info from Stratex about what might be happening on the next phases / mine plan even if it might change as they go along. Obviously info on the current production would be an easier topic for them but perhaps they will do both together. | blobby
19/12/2016 10:28 | It's all conjecture, Stratex haven't the common decency to update. | steve1905
19/12/2016 10:18 | blobby - you mean the joint venture should pay for mine development? Goodness me how unfair! | charles clore
19/12/2016 10:17 | corguv, I imagine it is also about paying for the mine development for the next stage as well. Bahar previously stumped up the cash for development of phase one, so they want that back and also they want the operation to pay for the next phase of development itself. | blobby
19/12/2016 10:17 | Apart from the A.M. joint bank account! | charles clore
19/12/2016 10:10 | Nothing pretty about this dog | juju44
19/12/2016 09:43 | We all love a good bottom. | romeike
19/12/2016 09:39 | At bottom territory again. | greedfear
19/12/2016 09:28 | If so, Bahar would soon see their costs of building Altintepe Mine rapidly repaid. Something they would understandably want ? | corguv
18/12/2016 15:58 | Tad - for Marcus to put a time frame on the conclusion of negotiations with Bahar it suggests to me that they are waiting for certain events to occur which could be as follows: a) completion of the full production year with actual final figures b) Altintepe Madencelik full year income and expenditure c) from a and b above, it will be possible to complete a comprehensive productivity statement (with a cost per ounce) showing historical costs and thereby forecasting future expenditure. Although for some this may at first sight seem like overkill (and we all want some return from Altintepe) it is the only way to fairly and accurately assess ongoing costs before starting to divide up the pot of money in the bank, which I agree with Tad could currently be in the region of $45m. | charles clore
17/12/2016 12:14 | Marcus attended the Proactive event on 3rd November and said he expected to conclude negotiations with Bahar (the JV partner) over mine cash distribution within 2 to 3 months, subsequently it seems this has been updated to January. We do not have long to wait, re-iterate what I was told recently at Mines & Money that the mine has been doing 'very well' I expect the 30k ounce annual target to be easily met with possible annual revenues closing in on $45m I believe, when it comes, the first payment will be very acceptable for Stratex shareholders, more important we can then look forward to a more regular payment structure with no caveats. | tadtech
16/12/2016 22:07 | Apparently the Chinese nicked a small US scientific sub. | charles clore
16/12/2016 21:56 | Or, another way...this turkey's got bird flu, & therefore should survive Christmas to re-emerge next year not necessarily fitter, but still just about kicking. PS what about this China vs USA thing in the sea off the Philippines? | dogwalker
16/12/2016 21:11 | The Stratex phone will now be switched to 'out of office' for the next fortnight or so. The team will be taking a protracted break, winding down after a hectic year. Pleasse rest assured, we will ensure the golden goose keeps on giving next year. If you have any concerns please don't tell us, we're not interested | steve1905
16/12/2016 20:10 | Great weekend Charles! | greedfear |
