06/3/2018 01:11 | RG,i find it of interest that two well respected and well connected guys who have a fantastic record of turning around companies recently took the helm here, and have also taken a large percentage stake in the business. Also most of the businesses they have turned around have been in struggling sectors yet they still quickly turned them around. Here they have a company in a very exciting growth sector so it will be interesting to see what they can do with a plethora of opportunities in front of them in a fast growing sector.I predict an exciting journey lays ahead :-) | greggor
06/3/2018 00:32 | It appears this is going to hot up very soon! | elan_1
06/3/2018 00:29 | I see yorgi the paid ramper's thread is in full swing trying to sucker in new mugs for this hopeless company. | bbmsionlypostafter
05/3/2018 22:57 | Interesting read Greggor, like you i can see some real upside here is on the way x | rimmel girl
05/3/2018 19:00 | Hi Elias, there was another interesting news article out today I spotted on the other side. This share is going to get very very interesting shortly when these new BSi standards come into play and for someone like strat aero who is leading in VR and AI surveying in the Uk it could fill the order book up very quick IMO www.engineerlive.com | greggor
05/3/2018 17:31 | Andy I'm sure RG can speak for herself but did you not post something on Friday in relation to Beaufort? You were implying they were connected to or were acting as the current broker. But the truth is that Strat Aero,s new management first act once they got control was to oust Beaufort and appoint Peterhouse as joint broker,Sp Angel is still the Nomad and company broker as they have been for some time. Elias | elias jones
05/3/2018 16:44 | Rimmel, Wrong, and wrong! "You claimed a few days ago that Beaufort was their broker" Really, where did I claim that please? " and I pointed out that they were replaced in December which you have still not acknowledged yet or made any comment on." Andy - 02 Mar 2018 - 22:20:57 - 2316 of 2342 Rimmel, I know but didn't Beaufort raise money for them in the past? | andy
05/3/2018 15:56 | Andy the new management have only been here since December,so put my previous post into context with that,i would say rather a lot been done for the better already. I get the sense that whatever I say you will say opposite,i say white you say black,i say half full you say half empty. Geocurve was not the focus of the former management they overlooked its massive potential! You claimed a few days ago that Beaufort was their broker and I pointed out that they were replaced in December which you have still not acknowledged yet or made any comment on. The bottom line here is that this effectively a new company with a new proven management elsewhere in other ventures that could quite easily turn this around. If you are asking would i have invested in the former management the answer is a very firm no ! however this is a very different outfit now that is focussed on commercial growth in a very fast expanding industry. | rimmel girl
05/3/2018 15:39 | Rimmel, Not sure about "rebranding". Geocurve was always the focus so nothing has changed there, it's the only part of the business that was doing well, and you wonder why they joined Strat Aero in the first place, access to capital markets I guess. Yes one contract win, but no mention of margins though! They will need several of those at least before they become profitable. A start maybe, but they have a long way to go yet, and possibly another financing down the road, IMO. | andy
05/3/2018 15:36 | Greggor, I have no idea what you're talking about. | andy
05/3/2018 15:33 | Do you mean the current management andy??? | elan_1
05/3/2018 15:15 | Andy, you are aware that if you are holding a derivative product sourced through a broker that has asset clearing impounded you will lose the lot don't you? Do some DYOR on how the law operates in this area as it may be an eye opener and is always the risk if you play the grey market. | greggor
05/3/2018 15:08 | Andy well firstly the change in management ie the appointment of two well proven guys in company, rebuilding,r rid of Beaufort as company joint broker and replaced them with Peterhouse, then they cleaned up the balance sheet. They then identified Geocurve as the area of growth and we are already starting to see the start of some nice contract wins. At a current market cap of under £3m I would say we are looking at a potential great recovery story in the making, and the new guys at the top have done it many times before elsewhere with less tools at their disposal. Your glasss my be half empty but mine is the opposite x | rimmel girl
05/3/2018 14:56 | greggor, Indeed it does, some were positive when AERO was 12p! That's per share! | andy
05/3/2018 14:54 | rimmel Girl, Can you give me some examples of the "positive things that are happening" so I may ccnsider them? | andy
05/3/2018 14:21 | Good Afternoon Greggor good point about our new managers, see what they did at MRS in quick time only recently.Odds on they will do same here and maybe surpass it because this sector has far more opportunities for them x | rimmel girl
05/3/2018 13:53 | Andy, you wouldn't by any chance be trying to short this would you ?? under the previous management you may have had justification but now it could be a risky ploy with Burton and Brown at the helm.Very well connected guys that have a record of rebuilding companies quickly and growing the balance sheet. It takes all sorts I suppose :-) | greggor
05/3/2018 13:45 | Andy it is because of how this was previously managed as to the reason why it has a lowly valuation. In your opinion why do you think a well proven and well connected guy like Trevor Brown has not only joined management here but taken a 25% stake here? Could it be that he has a deeper insight on how profitable this could be if the company is positioned into the right areas with GeoCurve? You seem completely negative even when positive things are happening ! x | rimmel girl
05/3/2018 13:42 | elan, I suggest you look back through the news releases to see how often they have won contracts. | andy
05/3/2018 13:36 | Thanks for welcome the Rimmel Girl - am seeing this one as a keeper for a while not least because another new contract announcement on the heels of the one a few weeks back will show that new management here are turning this around quick.Could see this back in the 0.15p - 0.20p fairly easy very near term and then build from there in my humble but considered opinion. GLAH | elan_1
05/3/2018 13:32 | Did you notice in the recent survey contract win with the uk government that it stated "The contract initially provides a fixed revenue of £1.1m over three years, with work beginning within the current quarter" which implies that the contract could be expanded as further work is available. It COULD imply that, it's open to interpretation IMO. "So with Aero having a current lowly market cap of just £2.9m there is some scope for this to re-rate sharply upwards just on government contracts alone". Well what is the margin on that £1.1 million over three years? It equates to £366,000 per year, so say at 20% margin would wok out at around £73,000 profit per year. They will need a few of those to keep the company going, AIM listing fees and associated charges will swallow that up and then some. "It is also noteworthy that the Uk government see this sector as a key growth sector and is supportive of the industry". fair comment but how many other private players are out there competing, and without having the expensive listing costs of a public company to find each year? "Very good potential here x" There are many billions of shares in issue, with billions more in out of the money warrants, so they will have to gain some massive contracts to grow shareholder value here, IMO. 12p to the current price tells it's own story. | andy
05/3/2018 13:20 | Interesting post RG and useful to have someone like your partner with that insight, where do you see the company getting the biggest money earners? | greggor
05/3/2018 12:52 | Hello and welcome Elan x | rimmel girl
05/3/2018 12:44 | Elias,my partner actually works for a company that has third party involvement with companies in this sector and he has seen a marked increase in activity in their involvement this last 12 months. The new regulations about to be introduced will actually bolster companies like Strat Aero and at a perfect time to grab a big slice of this increased business opportunity. There are at least 6 government departments or NGO,s I have identified that will massively increase or start using Drone/UaV technology this year alone x | rimmel girl
05/3/2018 12:03 | Hello to all Have just started building a stake here - really like the look of this now after the recent re-structure and management changes. No pun intended but think this will fly as the new guys rack up new contracts and deals. GLAH | elan_1 |
