Was the CFO aware that you were going publish quotes from his reply on a public bulletin board?

Just received the reply from the CFO regarding my questions about the Kono licence in which I asked if there is a chance of getting the licence back and in the mean time is anyone else mining Kono?

Philips reply gave me enormous encouragement:

* The Company continues through legal and diplomatic means to acquire the licence. We are working towards a solution but this takes time in this part of the world.

* "there has been no activity on the licence for over 2 years now, either by us or any other parties"

* "We remain confident, as we always have, that the licence will come back to us, and I am sure we getting closer to that day"

* "I think it is fair to say that the loss of the Kono licence has been more than priced into our share price over the past 2 years and the return of the licence would provide a significant uplift given the quality of the asset"

* "I think all parties agree that the revocation of the licence has not in any way benefitted the local population or the country as a whole "

Goodpick you have far more knowledge and history in this than me an your thoughts are most welcome.

I have invested quite a lot into this 2.5m shares as I am confident that the management will turn this around this year, so in the next 6 months.

These are the highights for me:

Tongo progressing well and news imminent July?
Blackrock doubling their stake
CEO buying although small potatoes
Hardly any downside risk 1.25 I would say is the floor graph bowling up
JV encouraging
Still a good chance of Kono coming good and that will send the share price into orbit

Leopold,Thanks.Trial mining is just what it says - a trial. The company have given no indication of how long the trial is for and how much net income is attributable to Stellar. No indication has been provided on project feasibility, capital expenditure requirements. Do they need a mining licence ? I have read the web site pages and the RNS and this information is not available. The company said they would have a DFS for the flagship Tongo project this year previously and that has now been delayed to 2015.I hold quite a few of these but am being cautious but optimistic.Rgds

Yes Goodpick
Re RNS

"Trial mining will utilise Stellar's existing in-country mining plant and equipment"

At the moment they are building the road to get the equipment there and a bridge. So the costs of this need to be added.

Re RNS

"Plant commissioning expected by end August 2014 "

" our recently completed financing means that Stellar is fully funded to move Baoulé into the trial mining stage and in-turn cash flow. We are also fully funded to continue bulk sampling and diamond value modelling for the definitive feasibility study underway at our 1.1 million carat Tongo kimberlite project in Sierra Leone"

I don't know what the overall capital costs will be for full production or what percentage Stellar pay with the JV. Perhaps others invested know?

The bit I like is the 12% increase at Tongo before reprocessing of material. Tongo is jorc compliant so this plus news on the 1000 carat sample this could increase both grade and resource and be a catalyst for a significant re-rate. Also looking forward to updates in respect of the timely delivery of boule operations.

Agree Tongo continues to surprise and is a fantastic asset :-)

I do not propose to dwell further on this matter but it should be noted that GOODPICK's post 895 (under the name 'letsbemorehonest', can you believe it?) has been deleted, presumably by ADVFN.

I would guess that it was for lying, under a false name........
