11/8/2014 10:27 | Stellar Diamonds delighted with progress in Guinea By Philip Whiterow August 11 2014, 9:39am Stellar Diamonds (LON:STEL) expects to be processing ore from its Baoulé kimberlite operation by the end of September after rapid progress in recent weeks. Processing plants had arrived at Baoulé ahead of schedule, while base camp and road upgrades were complete and plant construction in progress. An environmental impact study was also in progress. Karl Smithson, chief executive, said: "Stellar has made tremendous progress over the past few weeks towards our objective of bringing the Baoulé kimberlite pipe into trial mining and generating early cash flow in Q4 2014. "Both our Mandala 100tph DMS and the Droujba Bulk Sampling DMS plants have now been relocated to the Baoulé site. "Our team on the ground has made strong headway with the re-assembling of the plants, and I am delighted to confirm we are on track for commissioning in early September. "The diamondiferous Baoulé pipe is located in the heart of the world famous Aredor diamond fields, a region that has historically produced some of the largest and highest value gem diamonds in Guinea," he added. The Ebola virus outbreak so far had not affected the operation at Baoulé nor Tongo in Sierra Leone, he said, though a number of precautionary initiatives to mitigate had been instigated. | totally banjo

11/8/2014 06:16 | Good RNS we are on track. Sorry to regulars on here for these cretins are targeting me and they are sad QPP holders who blame everyone else for their lack of investment judgement. I am powerless to stop them and I have made several requests for them to stop posting on here. Leo | leopold555

11/8/2014 06:12 | Well said Air Marshall. Both daily and leo were at it on the QPP board. I suspected Leo has many alternative accounts and is trolling a few boards. | knighty0001
10/8/2014 19:16 | I'm afraid not. I had a small stake in STEL which I sold last week and have now opened a sizeable short position. A $5m loss in 2013, delays to the Tongo Project, additional fundraises last year and continual cash burn this is only going one way in my opinion. STEL's Housebroker has recently upgraded the stock to a Buy, with no decent commentary on why it should be a Buy after previous dire performance, which is another major Red Flag. | nerdofsteel

08/8/2014 08:30 | Just looking at the mathematics for Tongo, if the 29% increase in undiluted diamond grade from 120 cpht to 155cpht in the current sampling is carried through to the final grade and value data later this month, that will positively impact on project economics and resource size. Its the equivalent of finding another mine but without having the seperate operating costs. At a value of $248/ct and 1.1 million carats (anticipated to be increased) Tongo alone is a very nice resource relative to what is still only a tiny company market capitalisation of £10.6m @ 1.53p. | new tech
07/8/2014 09:13 | I have been in constant communication with Phillip at the company on issues like Ebola and how the kono licence dispute is going. :-) | leopold555
07/8/2014 09:08 | That's what you claim. We've all seen what you two are up to on other threads. | the air marshall
07/8/2014 09:03 | I am heavily invested here Mr Marshall. | leopold555
07/8/2014 09:00 | feels like good news coming... | targatarga
06/8/2014 20:05 | The technical reports are used by investors. if the information attributed to the various labs mentioned were inaccurate then I am sure they would complain. Ditto the reports author, Paradigm Project Management (Pty) Ltd. If they are a total fraud then I am sure their claimed clients such as DeBeers would be taking action. Obviously Stellar management could be fiddling the samples they submit but this is a judgement you have to make. I have met the CEO and CFO and feel they were genuine. A former natural resources fund manager also spoke highly of the CEO. You seem deeply suspicious and in such circumstances you should follow your instincts and give this company and bulletin board a wide berth (unless of course you are shorting the share). | jimcar |
