08/7/2014 07:00 | Great frogkid, I can understand why people held for the long term. I did a lot of research last night to fill in the gaps as it were. It seems shorters like EK went for this on the news of the kono licence being withdrawn. Although it would be really nice to get that licence back (Stellar are still trying) the facts are that the other licences attained have turned out to be real gems themselves. Yet this has not been factored into the share price which has been STUCK in a decline over Kono. So I think I am right to invest here, this is a big growth stock and as the management say 2014 is a big year for Stellar Diamonds. imo dyor | leopold555

07/7/2014 21:58 | I have replied to Philip and kindly asked him how the dispute over Kono is going. Yes this has gone on for a long time and it is obvious to me that both sides have a point in that Sierra Leone's Mines Ministry says it wrongly issued the licences though in the BRR interview with Karl Smithson he said the fault was really due to the recession, Petra Diamonds pulling out of the JV so they stopped development which the authorities then have a right to suspend or withdraw your licence on the grounds of inactivity. Stellar Diamonds main reasons seems to be length of time the licence has been held and the fact that Stellar diamonds has spent in the region of $20m developing the site. If anyone is still in this including you grahamburn as I know you have been here a few years, can expand on my limited knowledge I would be grateful as I am still researching. While there is a hope of Kono coming back to SD then that alone is a worthwhile punt in itself as there is still a gap up to 6p for that one alone. The fund raising etc. since then is accounted for with Tongo and the Guinea projects which also are likely to produce some nice results going forward. With the commitment by Blackrock and instituinal investors it seems to me this share price has definitely bottomed and I see a possible bowl forming. Lots of news flow soon and a good few results could result in a multibagger here. I have made a substantial investment last week and today. In fact I have sold some DOR and OCT to invest here so that is how confident I am. Emailing the company I am impressed with their prompt and very informative replies. I know grahamburn is still here, who else? | leopold555
07/7/2014 15:29 | Don't know which is the best thread :-/ | leopold555
07/7/2014 15:28 | OK as a new investor to this share I did not know which of the two threads was the most popular lol thought I was on my own for a while there. | leopold555
07/7/2014 12:58 | Leopold555. You have recently become a prolific poster on this and the other STEL bulletin board on advfn. Some of your posts are undoubtedly useful and informative, even if some simply repeat company announcements (which the majority of readers I would hope know about anyway). It's just that you post the same item on each board simultaneously. Can you try to stick to one board or the other, as otherwise one feels obliged to look at both - only to find one's wasted time by seeing the same post again! This seems to be the least used board, so I suggest we use the other board. ps I have just posted a similar post on the other board, to ensure you see it!! | grahamburn

07/7/2014 11:57 | I have received a reply from Philip Knowles, Chief Financial Officer to my email enquiring whether the Ebola outbreak is having an effect on STELs operations. I am happy to say that they are "closely monitoring the situation, with the help of International SOS who provide detailed expert advice on a daily basis to us and many other companies in the area.". They are taking a very proactive approach "We are ensuring that all staff, both expat and local, take every precaution and adhere to the guidelines provided by the company to ensure their safety. " He also states that "it is effectively business as usual on both our Tongo and Baoulé projects." The reply was very professional and without giving away price sensitive information I sense there is considerable excitement about the Tongo and Baoulé projects for this year. STEL is determined to get cash flowing in the short term and then build on that for sustained organic growth. He said "We certainly see 2014 as a very exciting year for the company" Leo | leopold555

07/7/2014 08:43 | Stellar has secured a joint venture over a 1km² exploration licence which hosts the five hectare diamondiferous Baoulé kimberlite pipe in the Aredor district of central Guinea. Downstream of this pipe, an alluvial diamond recourse was defined by SRK in 2003 for Trivalence Mining Corporation with diamond values in excess of $ 400 / carat, including the presence of 100 carat stones. | leopold555

05/7/2014 12:59 | Yesterday we were up nearly 4% and then the MMs marked it level for the finish based on just two 100k sells. Most of the unknown trades yesterday were buys. Some sellers were dumping 500k at a time but few compared to the buying. As the volume starts increasing we should see more action in the coming weeks | leopold555
