frazboy, I think the rns might scare some PIs... but's a simple transfer of a team from Henderson to Lombard, followed by the funds...

but it's the same team managing the same funds..

Thanks for the link Sikh. I'm watching another board (thal) in anticipation of seeing the other side of the transfer - only the Henderson 'reduction' has thus far been notified.

gnnmartin,

Henderson are transferring their funds after Lombad bought their subsidary...
It's a transfer not a sell...

"The transition of the team is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2017, after which the alternative funds and sub-manager of the long-only fund currently managed by the Volantis investment management team will be moved across to Lombard Odier IM."

Henderson seemed to have cleaned out a lot of their dogs: ETX and SGI today. With luck that means a big seller is out of the way and the price might recover a little. I had been thinking of taking a loss on both to offset gains elsewhere, but I'll hold on for a bit. I'm intrigued to see that Henderson held 52,173,987 and Lombard now hold 52,173,988. I assume that means that Henderson sold all to Lombard, and Lombard already held 1 share. People/institutions buy 1 share when they are interested in a company and want to receive reports and attend AGMs.

Mallett sells up in Mayfair and Manhattan

Troubled dealership Mallett are to look for new galleries in London and New York after putting the blue-chip leases of both of their current premises up for sale.

Mallett Ely House Dover Street
Mallett’s headquarters at Ely House, Dover Street.
Negotiations to sell the lease on the New York store, 929 Madison Avenue, are at an advanced stage.

Meanwhile, the dealership have engaged the services of Levy Real Estate of Piccadilly to dispose of Ely House, the former London residence of the bishops of Ely in Dover Street, where Mallett moved in 2012.

Levy, who recently sold the freehold of 139 New Bond Street, home to jewellery dealership SJ Phillips since 1966, will begin marketing the palatial property for a seven-figure sum this week.

Mallett chairman George Bailey, who took control of the company in difficult circumstances in September, told ATG that Mallett "no longer needs to operate from prestige four-storey premises".
