24/9/2019 00:19 | Interesting today to see what a few buys can do to the share price. My take is that we currently have a sell being worked around the 110 level and when this is clear there will be a spike higher. | knowing
23/9/2019 20:33 | Thanks Bunlop | jbarlow78
23/9/2019 19:46 | Octopus manage several funds for example an AIM IHT fund that only invests in companies that qualify for Inheritance Tax relief after 2 years. Staffline has been a long term holding in this fund (not sure what that says about their stock picking skills) and in a recent report to investors they were saying that they expected the share to make a recovery so were still holding the stock. | bunlop
23/9/2019 19:42 | It’s got legs | gripfit
23/9/2019 19:38 | Ive gotta ask, ive seen it mentioned for months and its driven me mad. What on earth is this octopus you refer to?! | jbarlow78
23/9/2019 18:53 | Why take £1.80 now when in two years it could well be double that amount. Anyway HRNET and STAF are likely to talk to the largest holders such as Octopus to test the water as HRNET is likely to prefer a recommended offer rather than go hostile. These things take time as negotiations always do. | bunlop
23/9/2019 18:21 | I think all major investors will take £1:80 | gripfit
23/9/2019 18:10 | Anyway...the bid should be above 180 | costax1654x
23/9/2019 18:06 | Just to give context. There are approx 69m shares in issue. HR net need 345k to trigger mandatory bid. They currently hold about 20.6m. Daily volume at these levels is just small investors. Anything over 450-500k could signal a HRNET move. Nothing material happening today unless it’s off market and reported later. | dansjhall
23/9/2019 16:48 | That’s hopefully reduced the stock of the broker who is offering at £1:20 ,,,, HRNET should mop up before they start rising ,, | gripfit
23/9/2019 16:37 | Nice buy at 16:35 | jbarlow78
23/9/2019 16:36 | They bought at £1.80 so will be looking to benefit from their holding one would think. | pre
23/9/2019 16:32 | must be a seller about........ hope its noT HRNET ,,LOL | gripfit
23/9/2019 16:26 | Share price not moving at all.. | mhm2013
23/9/2019 15:57 | And its still 111 lol | jbarlow78
23/9/2019 15:46 | HRnet -29.95% held - 30% would lead to mandatory bid. | pre
23/9/2019 15:42 | yes.... look at the trades.... lots of 10000 and 5000 going through...... | gripfit
23/9/2019 15:38 | Is there actually quite a lot of buying taking place? | mhm2013
23/9/2019 15:35 | Bidder could pounce anytime as stated by earlier posters...reminds me of FOOT a lull and then bidder moved in. | pre
23/9/2019 14:51 | Just seen them few 10ks go through ? | jbarlow78
23/9/2019 14:46 | Lot of big buying going on ?? 😏😏 | gripfit
23/9/2019 14:12 | Yep ,, I was in FOOT, when JD said it was “ just an investment” .... then BOOM ,,,, full blown bid , which I personally think they could have waited and got cheaper ,, but that suited me 🤑🤑 | gripfit
23/9/2019 13:55 | also story line is a bit reminiscent of FOOT a few months back | franki8
23/9/2019 13:52 | I think hrnet were hedging with that 29.9% purchase in the off chance staf actually posted positive/better than expected results and the price went up. now they can take their time to do their due diligence and wait till pound vs singapore dollar sinks again - it has been rising in aug. then again, wtfdik - they can come in with an offer tomorrow | franki8 |
