I think I'll have a little horse race between STAF and SDY. They are both pretty well exactly the same price currently at 25.4p, so they at the post and at 8am Tuesday....
and they're off!!!

(I had a similar race between ITV and RCH 3.5 yrs-ish ago when they were both about 60p and held both, RCH won by about 10 lengths).

Anyway. STAF look pretty good value to me at these prices, GLA all long and short term holders.

... most of which money however then appears to go out on the other side in payments of wages etc to the contract workers (I'm here attempting to invoke the gist, iirc and hopefully without distortion, of what Paul Scott said some years ago concerning STAF and its wafer thin margin)...?

no, it usually does that so it makes sense... let's wait for 19th March, if they will announce another buyback or a divi this time, or nothing... I believe next spike will break 40p mark, but might need to wait for a while.

T.I. careful, these guys have a small margin so they work on volume. Each employer sector has it's own focus on temp & perm staffing needs so it's not easy conmparing one agency with another. I think staf are pinning their hopes on temp demand.
