Has anyone received the auction pack yet? I fear I missed the deadline...

We are in the process of formulating auction packs and working with an independent auctioneer on the process. If shareholders have any comments or suggestions, we are open to considering them and comments can be sent to Maitland, the Company's administrators, on sppc@maitlandgroup.com on or before Monday, 22 February 2021. We envisage that the entire process will take in the order of 6-8 weeks from launch on or around the beginning of March 2021

zcap - how did you manage to 'add your name to the list'?

Brazil potash and Buried hill energy both look interesting.

Yes, me too, added my name to the list... Which "assets" would you be interested in bidding on, and would you like to be part of a consortium?

It is the Director's valuation; unlisted price negotiable.

Question for auditors, how come the market value, is nowhere near stated NAV as claimed. Makes a mockery of accounts, to rely on and discount to stated NAV.

Auction process announced, followed by liquidator - seems sensible, and quicker. Note it's also open to "any shareholder", so those in the know may be putting their hand in their pocket..

Not exactly a fair market if "Reddit" cannot buy.

Up to 3.5p bid, 5p may tempt me - anyone recall date for suspension?

Edit - "In due course" for the EGM, and guessing weeks beyond that. Hopefully some progress ahead of it, or at least a revalued NAV beyond current c.14p.

Is it good news? More delays? Are they going to flog everything, just before they are going to have some value?Opp and this could both be guilty...

From OPP rns today.

The Company wishes to update the market as to the status of the Company's investments in Celadon Mining Ltd. ("Celadon") and Gobi Coal & Energy Ltd ("Gobi Coal").

As noted in the Company's 12 June 2020 RNS, Celadon's controlling shareholder has represented that Celadon has entered into an agreement on the terms set forth in that RNS to sell that company's assets but that the closing is contingent on travel restrictions being lifted in certain Asian countries. Those restrictions have not yet been lifted thereby preventing the transaction from closing.

Euclid - that sounds positive although any proceeds will be well below the price I paid for this vehicle for director wealth.

Just as long as they don't take it private and then continue to run it - given the limited communication with shareholders to date it's already half way there

so they are getting delisted of AIM

"We will therefore ask the shareholders for authority to approve a process. This will include cancellation of the Company's admission to trading on AIM and the appointment of a liquidator. The resolution would enable the liquidator to appoint an agent to conduct formal auctions of each of our holdings of any value and sell them to the highest cash bidder. The liquidator can then distribute the net proceeds to the shareholders and wind the company up."

Doesn't much change my view that we'll eventually get back c.5p, but positive all the same:

Update on Buried Hill

It was announced on 21 January, 2021 that the Turkmen and Azeri Governments have signed a Memorandum of Understanding ("MOU") covering the development of a disputed area in the Caspian Sea. It has been separately confirmed that the area includes the hydro-carbon blocks under licence to Buried Hill by the Turkmen Government.

It is not yet clear what the impact of the MOU will be on the final commercial arrangements for developing the field, which is to be renamed Dostluk. However, the ending of the longstanding dispute between the Governments seems to be a historic milestone in unlocking the development of the field.

Lol. Fair point! Had to Google to make sure.

Had the pleasure of meeting him back in the day, and talking on the phone - unique guy, definitely a life well lived. When an obituary is eventually due, it'll mention that failed Regus short tho..

It's clear that specto qualifies for a quilted bog-roll for predicting everything incorrectly. Why does he ever bother? He has no credibility at all. Never did.

That rings a bell, but searching the thread implies he was possibly tipping SGR.

Seems to be some sell size for anyone who doesn't trust the liquidator to return current share price or more. Staying in my few I think, seems little point ditching them here. Will have had more in (distant) divis than current s/p!

Didn't Evil Kenevil tip these at around the 20p mark as well?
