Last NAV 46.9p and probably still going down.
Share price 15p and probably still going down.

Either an overlooked bargain or a load of dodgy/underperforming investments.
My take is the second of these.
I have researched and will not be investing.

It appears, some other think there maybe value in this bombed out stock. Im just perplexed why it cost £2m to run a £13m comp. How do you claim you did well, you raise £75m, and turn it into £13m hey presto since 2007? How do you spin a didn't we do well on this? Bob Morton seems savvy enough but may of lost the plot, and his touch, either this has huge value hidden ( Maybe the 3D TV) that no one sees, or its dead and the next 17 months, they chew through cash, and say hey we go paid what the hell link on City Wire , su§rely t§his §fella not that daft and has done his DD?

Never come across Armstrong Investments before; not their usual style.
Mr Shore better get moving, I would not vote for a liquidation until their market improves.
As SPPC are not actually dealing much, it is about time Captain Bob cut back on his "expenses".

Hmm as I read it Nortrust are just a nominee vehicle for the shareholder concerned i.e. Armstrong Investments Ltd.... I think.

Seems the share price is in a death Spiral Russ. I sold out at 37p because I couldn't keep waiting for a recovery that never seems to happen. This company is all at sea which probably explains why when you ring them, they don't pick up the phone. I don't know of any price that it is safe to reinvest here.

There are problems but I believe that they are all in the price. If Mr Shore does not know how to narrow the discount, he must be sitting on his yacht with Captain Bob M.

I am sure that one day this share will rocket but I don't know when. (Sold out earlier.) In the mean time I am taking a lesser but more steady return from the likes of LTHM and TCSC. Not so much excitement but it pays the bills.

Big dump of 21.8k at 30p. Some brave soul bought 14k of shares at 35p.Maybe one day this will pay off but it is quite frustrating waiting for news. Happy to have sold out of these.

I think they have a lot of explaining to do FP to long suffering investors. I had been hoping they would monetise some of their assets but couldn't stay holding as I watched the share price plummet. Their reporting is kind of random so might be 5, 10, 15 days.It is hard to see what would be in the report that would spur on SPPC. I don't know how much cash they hold that they could return.

Still in the rump of mine, but understand your sentiments @Mach100. Hard to see a catalyst.

Sold out today. I see the share price is in a death spiral. It was a speculative punt for me and gives me some cash for 2015. Best of luck anyone who holds, this may well be very lucrative but I can't hang around for a recovery that might never happen.

Also US was closed yesterday I wonder if we will see some interesting share price action this afternoon as the worlds largest economy kicks in.

I decided to review early this year when they sold quite a few million shares they had in ILIKA for about 39p, since when it went to over a pound.
Rubbish decision by them and I lost faith.

24.7% in Oil & Gas so I guess that explains some of the drop.

Getting close to my stop loss now. The share price is really ugly at this stage. Not surprised, given the dearth of news. And further downward movement and I am out I am afraid. I have lost patience and I guess the fact that they can't be bothered to speak to investors probably says it all. A huge discount to NAV but seems uninvestable.

Agreed - mildly reassuring; and the 40%+ NAV discount surely underwrites the current share price Likely to be an element of capital repayment within the next 12months, so some limited upside more likely than not. However, still view it as a punt rather than an investment...

Quite a reassuring statement today in my view. The NAV has shrunk and currency movements in the strength of sterling haven't helped, as well as probably exiting Illika and Hayward Tyler too early.African Timber, Buried hill, Brazil Potash, Creso Resources all have a degree of promise. The sale to Broughton of Brazilian Potash shares and warrants leaves the company with over 50% of its holding while almost doubling the price it paid in selling it. With £5.2m in cash or 8p a share then any realisations will certainly mean this is worth a look.

Still waiting for the first RNS of the year....

As it's the anniversary of the Prelims, thought there might be something this morning, but the silence thunders on

Surely there must have been something of significant shareholder interest in 7 months?

In 2012 the results were announced at the end of May, so perhaps well overdue?
Once upon a time we got quarterly reports as well.
Now just a deafening silence......
