Not an obvious faller on a Trump victory, to be fair.

Damille have circa 4.3m shares.
Off the top of my head, their average purchase price is over 50p per share.
I presume SPPC are still allowed to buy back their own shares.
Slight conflict of interest with Shore Capital.

A quick look at Damille EPIC:DIL2 (their current investment vehicle) shows it's not easy markets for them either.

Not sure of the relevance of the above since it's from 2012!

Surprised Damille has not tried to ginger SPPC up.

Well, it's in play at the moment?

This would make quite a nice shell for a holding co to relocate to the Channel Islands.

Or, unhappy shareholders could sell their shares and move on, perhaps remembering not to buy shares at such wasteful companies in the future?

Never listened to you before.
No point starting now.

Shareholders should all write to request running expenses are kept tight and not wasted in consultants who do not add value and erode shareholder returns.

They seem to hire consultants on tap and costs / value is bonkers.

Mind you. The only have a year left don't they?

Well, they might fritter the cash away, but if they intend to sell the whole lot to another trust, or themselves, all those investments cost about 7p at the current share price?

They did seem notably quiet about selling the co itself - much more about trying to realise the individual holdings. ie might be wrong about "MBO on the cheap".

I like the cash but if it takes say 2yrs to wind up, if not longer, how much will have gone on listing expenses/salaries etc?

Still, as with anything, at the right price it's cheap - discount to what I regard as a depressed NAV is massive here.

Nearly half the share price is cash at moment as well...

Stale announcement before they flog it?

They at least seem to be valuing realistically, with comments like:

"Stream TV is focused on raising a significant funding round. We
understand that there is good interest from institutional-sized
investors at a premium to where SPPC has marked its holding.
Nevertheless, until a fund-raise has definitively taken place, SPPC is
maintaining its holding value of this position unchanged. "

Is going to take an actual exit of one of the top 5 to move the s/p, and that doesn't sound particularly close.

FX cannot be relied upon but gains since 30 Sept should push us nearer to 40 nav. A 'dog with fleas' indeed but there is a price for everything.

Cash & Brazil Potash alone will return more than the mkt cap IMO, but we'll see - discount to depressed NAV too great to ignore.
