When an institution holding a large number of shares wants to sell them, they get the share price walked down to a mutually agreeable price by small market bot trades and then the big trades happen, the overhang clears, the seller/buyer have mutually agreed a transaction price. The share price then rises. It stinks but is legal.

I am always trying to learn - what is a share overhang and how can you tell as opposed to more sellers than buyers?

Cast your minds back to covid. They did a fund raise and from memory the share price should have been around 223p(?), after that, they have mushrooming debt.

Rather regretting dipping my toe here without doing diligence on the leadership. I see the Irish times writes
"Patrick Coveney might have felt his ears burning last week, as his performance at his company, Greencore, was the subject of some unflattering appraisals.
