The drop to 1400 in April came out of volatility squeeze and was bought back up to the apex of the squeeze at 1521

Post dividend, shorters can get to work without worrying about dividend hunters

I am also seeing a massive head and shoulders formation between 2013 to 2017

What I am trying do, is make money.

Have a holding, will take the divi.

Have bought more this morning, a relatively small drop, IMO.

The share price rise in the next 3 months is guaranteed.

If it goes above my average, by a big way, I will sell a few, and buy back at the next ex divi date.

Not very exciting, but dependable.

It's probably down a bit (after allowing for ex-dividend) because gilt yields rose a bit - after further talk of Fed balance sheet unwinding soon - and SSE's yield follows bond yields pretty closely.
