04/7/2017 21:49 | Not an expert investor by any means but with the pending dividend and recent reduced political risk, say for the next 12 months or so, would seem current price is quite a good bet. Hence in for a few more myself thank you very much. | bonkers3
30/6/2017 16:06 | In now .Will buy more if goes down | action

29/6/2017 21:53 | Bonkers3 This one has tendancy to go as low as 1438 in the past apart from price cap conservative manifesto when it drop to 1400and below up to 1380 appx.Another thing i heard on tv that people r buying 20 yrs bond with yield of 2.2%. As tax bill might not pass as early as market anticipated. | action
29/6/2017 19:04 | Action, Happy about what? I have quite a few, bought a few more today but would like to get a few more before an inevitable? rise towards 27 July... what's the low, if any, between now and then? I wonder? | bonkers3

29/6/2017 15:52 | 30 year gilt yield has risen 10% in the last two days - 1.66% to 1.83%. Yield assets are realigning capital values to match. | aleman
29/6/2017 15:12 | Anyone any thoughts on cause of the 2.5% price drop this week (say, 1508 to 1469). Would have thought this should be rising for the pending dividend? | bonkers3
29/6/2017 09:52 | I wonder if the DUP with its balls-up of their energy policy will want to have anything to do with further energy regulation. | wad collector
28/6/2017 22:01 | I think the cap proposal has not been translated into proposed legislation - instead I think they have said a cap is an option for the regulator to use if necessary to ensure reasonable value for those on the standard price (or something like that - I have not seen the details myself). It sounds as though they couldn't think up a sensible proposal in time for Queens speech! | bigbertie
28/6/2017 17:53 | I can't advise you what to do just that over the last seven years it has been good to me in trading and dividends. | deanowls
28/6/2017 17:30 | Deanowls, Appreciate your response and anyone else's? Looks like you know this share well. Do you think it's worth investing at say, today's price circa 1480, for the 63p dividend, with a view to holding for a few months after the x-dividend drop. Noticed it's dropped to 1477...on the way down - government instability? B3 | bonkers3
28/6/2017 15:46 | I generally trade in the 1450 to 1550 range and use it to park cash that I am awaiting a price somewhere else. No expert but to get a cap through wouldn't be a simple exercise and the government do need to ensure caped is maintained. I never understand how they say there isn't competition yet they get called the big six. | deanowls
28/6/2017 14:53 | Would appreciate if anyone has historical data on the drop in share price after x-dividend date(s) over the last few years? And recovery? Also for discussion, obvious, but this share price is sensitive to political / government policy, e.g. how share value was negatively affected in run-up to June 2017 general election with Conservative's plan for price capping. Believe this capping policy is not now in the Queen's speech / 2 year government plan or am I wrong? Hence recent strength? If the Conservative's hold on power weakens over the coming months / 2 year - most likely due to Conservative Party Brexit rift / Conservative leadership contest - would guess the share price will start to fall as an early general election may result in a Labour government. Any data or thoughts welcome. B3 | bonkers3
