16/2/2017 12:33 | RNS out at 11.30 re patent for 3D visualisation. All helps to keep SRT at the top. | 2vdm
16/2/2017 12:32 | ps, the share price has always been a reasonable indicator for SRT, so, on that front, things look positive for a good outcome. | the prophet
16/2/2017 12:30 | No use by date on the jam, let's hope we're not bringing the jam back at the next agm, under 5 months to the next one! Without the sig deliverables, I feel Owenski's £7m-£8m for the year could prove to be optimistic. £2.7m was the half time score. Would need £5m this half, without deliverables, to make that. I'm not sure SRT will have done that?. No sig deliverables in this half and I can see something like £5m-£6m. It may not matter too much if we are assured the sig. deliverable is coming early in the new f/y. I would also ask where these new project starts are that we were promised at the interims by the chairman: 'As such we continue to look to the future with great optimism and will update the market with further announcements and guidance as project deliverables are completed and new projects commence. ' We're either in for a bumper time for news-flow over the next few weeks or it's back to that jam again, place your bets! | the prophet
16/2/2017 12:11 | What is the use by date of the pots of jam given out last July. Will they keep? Very disappointed. Difficult when we are kept in the dark. Prepared to give the benefit of the doubt. However I may change my name to Thomas soon. | crystball
16/2/2017 09:19 | Given the previous deliverable mentions in rns's last year, the credibility of st would be in tatters if the figures come in low. They would have to say exactly when the deliverables that weren't delivered will be delivered to be believable, given that the Indonesia contract is in phases and each phase depends on the previous one being ok and no mention of how that is going.A few years ago they said contracts had been delayed and then they didn't appear in the following year either so they cant pull that one again ! | fft
16/2/2017 09:12 | Yes, if they dont make the minimum 12m then I'd wager cash must be tight, they were running costs at circa 4.8m | owenski
16/2/2017 09:09 | not only that, but they must be close to a cashcall too? I can't see them invoicing enough to get anywhere near forecast in the next few weeks unless he manages to drag some upfront like he did last year. | hjb1
16/2/2017 08:57 | Anyone else a bit nervous? End of year approaching and still no sign of these 'deliverables'. I'm calculating that if they dont hit the deadline then we could be looking at end of year revenue of 7 - 8m GBP. Mostly guesswork on my part but think they could well be currently filling an order and it's timing again whether the order is filled this side of the reporting cut off or not. If the order is filled, I'm guessing we could be looking at 14 - 16m for this year. If the deliverables are late then it's odds on that next year will start with an early upside of 14 - 16m for the full year with potential for other stuff to kick in. I dont have a problem with SRT as a business, but short term, timing may come back for a last kicking. Meantime, looks like investors are sitting tight but no ones buying. The above is just a bit of guesswork on my part and I hope we get news of a deliverable soon, they need to deliver on the forecast 12m though or the market will take a dim view, no pressure - just over five weeks to go. Anything can happen. lol | owenski
14/2/2017 15:44 | Thanks for that TP | goodapple
14/2/2017 15:39 | think every where in the world has that problem, to a lesser or greater extent. Bahrain? here's just one article: | the prophet
14/2/2017 15:21 | Do they have an illegal fishing issue? | goodapple
14/2/2017 14:41 | Bahrain? From all accounts they seem very satisfied customers and happy to share that as well. | the prophet
14/2/2017 08:58 | I wonder if this order is follow up to the one on 12/9/16 for 400 AIS Identifier VMS Transceiver kits or a sale to a different country. The fact that the RNS makes no mention of the previous order might suggest the latter. West Africa does have a problem with illegal fishing and a country like Senegal might be the sort that would deploy a VMS as fish processing is a major industry and losses to IUU fishing have been reported to be significant. Wherever it is, this might be a relatively small order but further proof of SRT's reach and the growing development of efforts to control and prevent illegal fishing. | alter ego
14/2/2017 08:51 | Hard to know the real thing. ST did say that anything 'new' would be RNSd so maybe this was not on radar but now is. Hopefully existing stuff is being treated as day to day turnover with no need for RNSing. | srtshare2
14/2/2017 08:22 | Seem to remember comments that although there was some interest from Africa, SRT wasn't even factoring in anything for the VoP as they thought it would be a long way out before anything concrete developed. Good news to see this and shows that the AIS market is fluid and still relatively young. Important point here is - yet another country is adopting AIS and a rollout is commencing. | owenski
14/2/2017 07:39 | Understandably no mention of the client country yet. It would be useful to know if this covers the entire national "fleet" or whether it only covers certain sized boats within that country at this stage and/or a further roll out if/more likely when it proves successful. Yes, good for cash flow too. I don't have a problem with an RNS for this amount if it's a new national contract. TP, Le Val any thoughts as to which nation? | 2vdm
14/2/2017 07:25 | Hopefully should keep any potential fund raising at bay. | fft
14/2/2017 07:12 | Disappointingly small order if it warrants an RNS. List price of i100 is 514. Discount of ??? Buying in bulk gives say an order of 600k. Good for cash flow, but would have been hoping that that sort of revenue figure would no longer be material. | fft
13/2/2017 19:46 | Hmmm, love it when posters who have only just joined (today) start posting an opinion. ;-) | owenski
13/2/2017 18:30 | As far as I know Weatherdock were the first one having DSC and remote read out capcbilites in their identifiers. .................... Who´s first and second does not matter so much. .................... You said it. | trident5
13/2/2017 17:58 | Maybe 'AlternativeFacts' would be a better nickname? | philburt
13/2/2017 17:29 | You are Donald Trump and I claim my £5. | yump
13/2/2017 17:04 | Who´s first and second does not matter so much. What counts is who is the more innovative company. As far as I know Weatherdock were the first one having DSC and remote read out capcbilites in their identfiers. Also since more than 3 years they supply the locators with SOLAR power and SRT announced some month ago - the world news about "now with SOLAR" panel. Do you believe now, that SRT is the market innovator? | realfacts
13/2/2017 17:00 | As far as I heard the picture of this "award" is more than 4 years old and actually there is no project ongoing in that South American Country (Look to the flas on the vessel, then you´ll know which country we are talking about) This Country will have soon some presidential elections, so nothing in the past two years was "awarded" I assume the units supplied were supplied some years ago! | realfacts |
