09/8/2016 11:07 | What can we can read from the vesting price thresholds? It looks to me as if the company is moreorless certain that the share price will reach 75p and is highly likely to reach 125p. I celebrate that. Let's hope they reach both in short order. | yumyum
09/8/2016 10:44 | Countryman...no! lol oh! and when I want your advice I will ask for it ok. | hjb1
09/8/2016 10:43 | Anyway my view is irrelevant - it is your business - if you are collectively happy with this action then it is ok | zoolook
09/8/2016 10:41 | HJB. You are clearly an unhappy soul. Why not be grateful, take your profit and move on? | countryman5
09/8/2016 10:41 | >SRT say that this was all set up 6 months ago and they've only now got round to signing it up, an oversight but I believe these guys are genuine. Even taking that at face value they still signed it and released the RNS knowing what the current share price is. | zoolook
09/8/2016 10:32 | 6 months ago an share price of over 50p was merely a dream. I for one am very happy with its progress this year. And I'm sure "The Jam" wasn't just for fun. We'll see. | goodapple
09/8/2016 10:19 | zoo; if as TP says this was done 6 months ago (but only just signed off...ooops!) then the bar was set pretty high...just does not look good now. The best way now is to sign a few of those bloody contracts... | hjb1
09/8/2016 10:18 | zoolook I can appreciate others can have a different take on these matters, that is all fine and all views are valid. SRT say that this was all set up 6 months ago and they've only now got round to signing it up, an oversight but I believe these guys are genuine. | the prophet
09/8/2016 10:13 | The Prophet, You say they haven't milked it in the past but it very much comes across as them doing so now. Setting the bar so low is not the right way to incentivise and reward. This will not come across well to new investors either private or institutional. The company has previously had a reputation for being overly optimistic. Now there is additional reason for doing so in communicating to the market as hjb1 points out. May be they have been genuinely humble in the past and maybe things have now gone to their heads. I dont know but Im sure Im not the only one thinking that might be the case on reading that RNS. It happens. | zoolook
09/8/2016 10:03 | Prophet - agree. I saw ST present a few years back to a group of PIs and he came across as incredibly genuine, honest and hardworking. Some people do not realise that, like it or not, the value in the business is hugely dependent on him and his senior team being at the helm and being motivated. So it will cost us a few quid... but please remember the bigger picture. | juzzer100
09/8/2016 09:57 | I would think most of the IC lemmings/day/momentu TP, c'mon!! | hjb1
09/8/2016 09:55 | These options were all set 6 months ago.....they've been too busy with the 'day job' and only just got round to signing the thing off. In all my years of investing I have never come across such a bunch of open, approachable, hard working, intelligent guys and these lot. They do not milk it. This is richly deserved and I hope they ( and all of us) do extremely well. I (think) that's it from me on this subject, although I respect others can have different views and wish to debate it further. | the prophet
09/8/2016 09:53 | SRT is going to drop further after this good run as the IC will come out on Thursday/Friday with the Sell reccomendation in it and will be read by all and sundry. The only thing that can stop this is another contract news. So best to wait and see and pick up some stock cheaper in a few weeks in my view. | loobrush
09/8/2016 09:51 | even more distasteful when the share price goes back to sub 40p anytime soon..Tucker's halo is slipping it seems! | hjb1
09/8/2016 09:50 | They have probably exercised them already and dumped them! | lavalmy
09/8/2016 09:45 | Why do they need rewarding now ? I don't see any account out saying profits of 6 million or EPS of 5p, do you ? Yes, we have a nice contract, but it has only just started and the numbers wont hit the bottom line for a year or two. And you do realise that phase 2 and phase 3 are not guaranteed ? Each phase is dependent upon a successful completion of the previous phase - and that success is probably decided by a dept of the Indonesian govt not SRT shareholders or the remuneration committee ! It is unusual and wrong for options (esp. nil paid ones) to be dependant solely (or at all) on share price. Too many temptations to gild the good news and delay the bad news to get the price up and the options vested. And to those who say it could never happen - then go and look at Tristel. | fft
09/8/2016 09:33 | The management need rewarding. They deserve rewarding. If it is tax-efficient then so much the better. I am perfectly happy. | yumyum
09/8/2016 09:29 | The 50p threshold they set is extremely distasteful when the share price was already at that level. It is tantamount to a giveaway. What were they thinking? From what I gather the company has gone out of their way to engage and be friendly with PI's so it seems especially discordant. There are obviously loyal supporters but as company owners you should be challenging not defending this type of giveaway especially as it dilutes your stake. | zoolook
09/8/2016 08:51 | buying opp coming up? c'mon Mr T we need some news! | hjb1
09/8/2016 08:10 | The only thing that is wrong with the option awards in my view is the timing. The should have made the awards between results publication and the AGM. This said, I will be delighted if they all vest and the earlier they do so, the better. | crazycoops
09/8/2016 08:02 | There were already vested options before yesterday's grant. Extract from Note 3 of 2016 accounts: Share options at 31 March 2016 and 2015 Total Exercise options price Executive Directors S Tucker 2,200,000 9p 18 February 2020 N Peniket 1,300,000 2.5p 20 July 2019 R Hurd 500,000 20p 18 December 2022 R Hurd 75,000 2.5p 20 July 2019 Expiry date: The criteria for all of the executive share options have been met and therefore all are exercisable immediately. I'm puzzling over timing, motivation and terms. Is it to keep the team together? Is visibility of income now going to accelerate the share price rise? Why was it not announced at the AGM? | cliffpeat
09/8/2016 07:16 | Parsons, didn't say they anything about options, just stating facts, tell me other than the indo deal, which is great, what else is there in the last 12 months or so.ST can't dine out on that forever. That's one of the reasons for the sell off, it's still all very flaky with no momentum.Just my opinion of course. A leading worldwide company that turns over a measly £10m is not leading very much at all is it? | hjb1
09/8/2016 07:03 | hjb1 to say that they havn't delivered anything worthwhile is very unfair. It is very frustrating working with governments worldwide. This company HAS become the leading company WORLDWIDE in its field, no mean feat. The directors IMHO deserve these options. I have been an investor for over 40 years and I havn't seen a more committed management team. | parsons4
08/8/2016 21:42 | Interesting point, hjb, not sure what the rules are, but I guess they are never sure exactly when a contract will be signed. All the same, I don't expect to see a mega deal contract tomorrow, but you never know! | the prophet |
