05/8/2016 13:17 | LaValmy....you may have missed the sofa opportunity. :-) | yumyum
05/8/2016 13:15 | BC -the price is up three fold since March - there will be days like this. | trident5
05/8/2016 12:31 | At what level of drop would the company be required to issue a statement? | big_cat
05/8/2016 12:30 | looks that way- domino effect, I guess- a few sell, a few more sell, the price moves down, more sell etc. Not high volumes though. Nothing to worry about that I can see. | lfc4ever
05/8/2016 12:30 | I just had one of them spread bet things :-) | smartmoney100
05/8/2016 12:22 | lfc4....here is your correction I guess ! Is there any news that makes the price collapse so violently ? | yumyum
05/8/2016 12:09 | Nice spot, LazyJ ! Let's assume it will usually be filled by some SRT equipment. | yumyum

05/8/2016 10:44 | lfc, it's more a case of what proportion of people might hold SB positions - and it was more about getting a general sense than anything else. I guess I am trying to assess future volatility more than anything. We have probably already seen some technical traders arrive this week (the 52 week high brigade). The real trigger for volatility is people with a short-term mindset who are also highly leveraged (and I appreciate someone like yourself might have a fully funded SB position). Anyway, it's all for the future, I am happy with my own entry prices and position size and am relatively patient, so it was more idle musing than anything. | crazycoops
05/8/2016 09:42 | not sure what SB positions tell you about shareholder base. When i say i have had the SB open since about 20p level, i shuold make clear that is the 2012 20p level. | lfc4ever
05/8/2016 09:31 | No obvious sign of SRT here but looks like a very interesting conference. The 13th International VTS (Vessel Traffic Service) Symposium will convene at the Kuala Lumpur Convention & Exhibition Centre (KLCC) on 8-12 August 2016 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The symposium is promoted by IALA - AISM (International Association of Marine Aids to Navigation and Lighthouse Authorities), an international organization for Marine Traffic Control and Maritime Surveillance, association with the Marine Department of Malaysia. The theme of the 2016 Symposium is "Sustainable Safe Navigation", where participants will be presenting and discussing the current challenges and opportunities both in VTS and Domain Awareness. Planned themes for the Symposium are the role of VTS in Maritime Domain Awareness, the role of VTS Operations in Port/Waterway Efficiency, VTS Beyond Territorial Seas and in Polar Regions, future trends and technological development of this sector, VTS and e-navigation, professional competencies, Information Exchange & Management, Innovations and Improvements in VTS Operations. | yumyum
05/8/2016 09:24 | Thank you ee. I agree that looking forwards is the way to see SRT. No news today so time to take profits. That seems to be what is happening. Let's look forward to the news, whenever it shall come. I do not believe this was on SRT's radar, so to speak, but I wonder if SRT supply Geovys ? I guess not: 5th Aug Ports of Jersey’s new vessel traffic service (VTS) is in operation Frequentis was selected to modernise the Ports of Jersey’s control centre systems through a fully integrated solution and supported by a ten-year maintenance contract. With the Factory Acceptance Test in February, the first steps for the company’s first VTS deployment in the United Kingdom waters have been taken. Ports of Jersey signed off acceptance for its use in live operations in May 2016 After an extremely rapid and successful deployment, the upgrade of its Operational and Stand-by Control Centres, multiple remote radios, radars and automatic identification systems has been completed. Ports of Jersey provides 24/7 VTS and coastguard Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS) services, relying on Frequentis solutions to supply these services. | yumyum
05/8/2016 08:12 | ec/lfc - thanks I'm just trying to learn a little more about the shareholder base (of course, I know those who post here are only a small sample). I have been surprised that the share price has risen so much in the last few weeks without any consolidation yet but equally, the rises seem to be quite measured. EDIT - looks like I might have spoken too soon. | crazycoops
05/8/2016 00:26 | re the SB question- yes, large position since about 20p with IG. Why? | lfc4ever
04/8/2016 23:58 | Personally I can't see the interims being any great shakes, but accept I could be well wide of the mark. The market is looking beyond a 6 month reporting period and over the next few years it should be boom time for SRT, so that is what the market is pricing in, imo.It only needs a modest % of that VSP in any one year to make a mockery of the current share price Interesting times, Bon chance! | the prophet
04/8/2016 22:07 | ee...so what is acceptable? To you as a wise bird eagle...and to the market, if different? | yumyum
04/8/2016 21:56 | Yes, from time to time, on IG. No bets open just now, however. | effortless cool
04/8/2016 20:29 | Out of interest, has anyone here bought SRT via spreadbet? | crazycoops
04/8/2016 19:19 | Last year H1 was revenue £3.6m with loss before tax £700K. I don't think 'worse than last year' is the issue, rather what is acceptable now the market cap is £75m. SRT is now valued with a fair bit of expectation, and certainly isn't based on WH Ireland's current year revenue figure of £12m. All very subjective and open to debate, but at least SRT is a real business run by capable management. | eagle eye
04/8/2016 17:12 | You guys with access to level 2 would probably have a better idea than me, as would technically inclined people, but it seems to me that over the last couple of days most of the buying has been chart related, or 52 week highs, that sort of thing. However, in the background, there is a seller who sells in 10k-20k and more chunks. I am hoping that if it is some sort of momentum/chart thing the price will ease off on no news. A poor trading statement would help. I have just learnt that the people handling the sofa money have gone on holiday for three weeks, so you can appreciate my concerns. Since the post-brexit dip, it has all been northwards driven only by the AGM and two pieces of financially insignificant news, so I find it hard to believe that fundamental investors have jumped on board at these higher prices. All mitigated by the fact that I already have a huge chunk. On another board, sopme 'research' has concluded that I am in fact a hedge fund, so there you go! Mind a hedge fund might have more than level 1. | lavalmy
04/8/2016 16:26 | ee/TP, apprehensive about interims means you think worse than last year? Surely no way. | yumyum
04/8/2016 15:59 | I feel that £1 jam will rather quickly become £1.50 jam. But if you are greedy....then go for the £1 jam ! You may not have long. £1 to £1.50 likely very quick indeed. | yumyum
04/8/2016 15:35 | Perhaps have my jam @ £1 | ramnik007
04/8/2016 14:57 | £75m market cap now, but as Owenski points out, that could still be viewed as very cheap given the t/o and profits we are expecting over the next three years and beyond.Like EE, I'm slightly apprehensive of the interims, but plainly investors horizons are focused beyond that. How refreshing! And, ofcourse, further news could drop any time and give yet more credibility to the VSP, as well as a boost to the buoyant share price | the prophet |
