01/9/2016 10:37 | If anybody has a few minutes to spare, they may find this interesting: Apparently SpaceX is wondering what to do with its new giant rocket, and contemplating the possibility of launching a constellation of 4,000 satellites! Lots of other interesting satellite work going on too... I expect Mr Tucker would like a slice of some of that ;¬) | supernumerary
01/9/2016 10:29 | Not forgetting that Indonesia doubled from $50 million to $100 million. | lavalmy
01/9/2016 10:16 | Which presentation is that hjb? if it's the AGM one, the US does not feature separately as it's a mandate and not a project? I think the VSP and order book is increasing year on year and not 'vanishing'?..... | the prophet
01/9/2016 10:15 | hjb1, You aren't very kind to someone who is paying for your Xmas turkey this year are you? | eagle eye
01/9/2016 10:11 | Hi hjb1, Good spot ! Why not drop a line to the co - and share the reply ? TIA | extrader
01/9/2016 09:46 | I notice on the latest presentation that the US does not even feature as a future revenue channel. Blimey $50m down to zero...how much more of the " VSP" is just going to vanish and is NOT going to happen?? Jam Tomorrow anyone!! | hjb1
01/9/2016 01:52 | I have a preference for contracts being signed ! and mandates (i.e. USA, Russia, EU inland waterways) actually living up to the hype (revenue) rather than very disappointing numbers that have been reported over the last few years. When we get the above (and with some completed with revenue/profit as expected), then we can start talking about dividends and share buy backs. | fft
31/8/2016 22:01 | I guess those holding stock in isa or SIPP don't have Lav's tax problem, income or CGT. If SRT ever becomes cash rich and does not have a good home for it, I for one have a preference for dividends. If the company ever has surplus cash, ST might consult major shareholder Lav for an opinion but the chairman and others, might out trump him. | countryman5
31/8/2016 15:53 | It will get there if they buy back shares rather than forcing us pay tax on dividends we don't want! :) | lavalmy
31/8/2016 14:59 | Apologies and quite correct crazycoops. PE 145. Only wish it was EPS 145p Le Val! | 2vdm
31/8/2016 13:51 | I think he meant PER rather than EPS | crazycoops
31/8/2016 13:49 | 145 what? Pence or pounds? | lavalmy
31/8/2016 07:58 | Which would be excellent news, particularly to all the LTH's here who have seen SRT grow and evolve. In the meantime and until we an update on Indonesia and news of hopefully another contract win, we have £400k profit and a current PE of 145. | 2vdm
30/8/2016 13:16 | mine's still in the cupboard as well, kalkanite. As we know from past experience, an order could come out of the blue and then it will be a jamboree! | the prophet
30/8/2016 13:11 | My SRT jam has made its way to the back of the cupboard and is collecting dust! I refuse to open it until a decent project (£30m+) is announced. The toaster is on standby :-) | kalkanite
30/8/2016 10:01 | buck581 Was covered at the AGM, either in meetings or in talks afterwards, forget which. It boils down to the US has been a damp squib, which is due to a combination of the economic down-turn meaning boats are laid up, lack enforcement etc etc, ie all the usual reasons we have seen before why these mandates often don't turn out as advertised. SRT are adamant that the business is not going elsewhere and that they will get the lions share, just that the period for that will be extended, which in some ways is no bad thing. Projects are much more dependable in terms of numbers and the roll-out times, but, as we've also seen here, projects can also suffer their own set of problems. This is not an 'easy' business, but SRT are trying to make it as smooth as possible for their customers. | the prophet
30/8/2016 06:39 | Back to the important bit. Where are the US sales going ? | buck581
29/8/2016 17:36 | I'm sure there's a lot of motor powered fishing boats that don't use electricity - gas cylinder for cooking - hurricane lamps | piedro
29/8/2016 16:36 | LV, assuming you mean moving catch from one vessel to another... | fft
29/8/2016 15:24 | I thought trans-shipment at sea was illegal? | lavalmy
29/8/2016 14:04 | fft, Thank you for the lesson - I should have thought that myself. Perhaps you could explain ... "However, without power they probably wouldn't be able to do much apart from bob around the ocean !" | piedro
29/8/2016 12:35 | I got email notification from SRT directly this morning. I think I signed up to their website notification service. Clearly not an RNS event as this is essentially a product improvement/option and has not material to the business. | carcosa |
