RNS - Scotland's only quoted housebuilder's home completions and cashflow have recovered sharply from the country's prolonged lockdown, with delayed sales fuelling what the Group predicts will be a strong first half to the current financial year. Today's FY 2020 results, to May, show the impact of the lockdown in the final two months, which normally account for almost a third of sales, but confirm that delayed sales are expected to add to strong underlying demand in H1 2021, with debt having fallen by over GBP25m in four months and a 2p final dividend proposed. Our reinstated forecasts assume PBT surpassing the previous record by FY2022E and debt continuing to fall.

Respectable results given the disruption caused by the pandemic. Very happy to continue to hold.

I'm biased but sooner or later this surely has to catch up (to some degree) with English peers!

The purchase by Sir Angus Grossart in mid June is I suspect very significant. He nearly doubled his holding with a c£1M purchase from the chairman's interests.

That's not a truism.

update says they have a 'strong balance sheet'.
seems to bear out the truism that those claiming a strong balance sheet tend to have a good deal of debt.

This is an extract from today's ADVFN Markets Bulletin:-
"On the upside, housebuilders were the standout gainers after the government said the property market in England could reopen, with renters and buyers now free to move house and property viewings in person allowed. Barratt Developments, Taylor Wimpey, Persimmon and Berkeley were all firmly in the black."

So, when the Scottish government eventually relaxes its Covid restrictions, we should see a decent bounce in Springfield.

Featured in "10 cheap small caps" in the IC today. Housebuilders in England re-opening. Scotland clearly having a grown-up conversation (copyright N. Sturgeon) and keeping theirs closed at the moment.

Another dividend gone. Scotland seems to be out of line with the rest of the UK currently in closing building sites.

Their exposure to affordable housing looks excellent in strategic terms, as does the deal with Sigma. Spring is nearly here so would be happy to accept housing stock reduction (and slower new builds)if they want to reduce borrowings (which look containable anyway)

Apparently several property funds have withdrawn from the market because of “material uncertainty” about the value of the assets (properties). That may be the reason for the drop, although it still looks way overdone.

Agree..not sure why it would seem to be a corona impacted stock to be honest.

Thanks for the note.

An unhelpful sale by the CEO, to buy a house! Wonder if its a Berkeley one?

Still, forecasts remain unchanged. Found a good note on the website;
