Jack Wills had gross assets of £98,965,000 and made a net profit (after exceptional items) of £19,206,000.A sound piece of business to acquire this for £12,750,000.

I agree it is a good deal in isolation, would be fine if he did one of these a year.

This is getting crazy though, SPD hardly has any management and there is a lot to do on deals like this, he hasn't got the skills in this field unlike Philip Day.

The initial deal might be cheap but he will still need a lot of working capital to keep the brand relevant.

For a change this ones not a bad deal, as the brand fits in nicely to his group of larger stores but I still believe its headed South and one is better short than long imo.

What a right royal mess HoF is in, and some of his other investments are proving to be a problem it seems.

Chapaeau given its the very first compliment I ever got, I want to say thank you haha

Sometimes though, markets are not only perceived 'your way'. Which is unfortunate. You'd make a fortune daily if it was...

Problem for shorters is 214-183

Massive flows and volume to battle against. So they might cut their short hold futures in the area. And then more importantly , buy

214 a big price again. Either he supports there or will wait the cheaper 200p. No other price between matters much really

Micro lot 214 bought. One for 200 at the ready.

I rarely do this type of transaction in a stock. Roll on data manipulation day haha

They might try to just ease support 214 And let day three of drop look after itself

Just reading that MA is in a battle to buy Jack Wills which apparently is a Retail Chain that is struggling for cash

He will be after a supermarket chain next, lol

And clear the decks. Get back to the ceo chair for 6 months. Dump all family and friends and whoever recent advisors were.
And hire proven winners. Soon sorted.

If you listen to Warren, Berkshire would have been must larger if they had borrowed money. If you look at New International who did, they nearly went bust in the early '90's.

Mike should just reduce borrowings and 'stick to his knitting' and get rid of the stuff he does not really understand.

Mike, stick to Sports Direct and pay down the debt, Oh and treat your shareholders with respects.

Hard to think of a listed company not in some form of debt today be it loans or dividend. Can't be many

Give him an extended credit line to Xmas. Then cut it if you like lol
