A rise of 10% hardly makes up for a 70% decline since the offer. Yes SEVENTY PERCENT!!!

Those day trading this fine but if you had sold yesterday you would have missed the big rise at the open. One of these days an offer for 200p+ may well land and if you have sold out well you will be kicking yourselves...

...if the company knows nothing they can still say they know of no reason for the dramatic share price fall as other companies have said in exactly the same situation to reassure investors even if they are not obligated to do so.

Regarding an RNS:

The core obligation is set out in DTR 2.2.1: a company must notify the market, through an approved Regulatory Information Service (RIS), as soon as possible, of any inside information concerning the company.

Where rumours are false or press speculation is groundless, a company is under no obligation to issue denials. Untruths can’t amount to inside information.

But where rumours or speculation are largely correct, the company needs quickly to decide whether it has inside information that should be released. Once news has leaked, delay can no longer be justified, and directors need to ensure that the market is trading on the basis of accurate information that is available to all.

So, in short, no announcement is necessary if the company knows nothing.
As far as I know, there has been no speculation which could drive the share price lower.

We see even the biggest bears Berenberg have upgraded Spire today.

Mediclinic up 4% today
NMC Health up 6%
Spire badly underperforming again due to shorter driven manipulation.

could the management be planning a buyout? just thinking out of the box as the BoD seem remarkably unconcerned given the drastic share price drop here?

surely at least an RNS stating "we know of no reason for the dramatic drop" is well overdue? unless they do? the drop is way more than you would expect based on the latest results and prospects going forwards

We have also made the media and city teams aware of the scandal that has developed here these past 12 months. Board can not be allowed to get away with this.

I am not sure if you guys have noticed this too...but whenever the stock moves up (usually) it is on very thin volumes...and then supply comes in pushing the share price down. To me it looks like someone just tries to prop the price up on thin volumes...just a guess though...

Not a holder but just bare in mind that they will be leaving the FTSE 250 in December so the share price will remain under pressure as tracker funds sell out prior to relegation.

If the FCA can be believed - a big if admittedly - shorts are down to 2.1% from 2.8% this past week and Marshall Wace have reduced substantially.
