Spiked to 110p today. Not sure the update will be positive actually - Ash/board were idiots for turning down 315p - although outlook may be better given increased funds declared for NHS this past week. Low ball hostile bid is possible to irk the board - just hope they comply with FCA regulations and disclose any offers.

Patience is key. The volume over the last week says it all. A positive update is coming...so is a bid!!!Hold on for 1.80.

Yes a nice rise into the close, no smoke without fire? Maybe the long wait will be over next week but I need a bid for twice the current price just to break even (not being one of my best investments!) and I guess there's a fat chance of that unless we have a bidding war so I'll just dream on for now before anyone says it lol!

Several large off-book trades not just the usual AT nonsense.
Surely there must be a reason.

Scan those weekend papers - perhaps Mediclinic +/- HCA put in a hostile bid at 150p to show up the stupid Ash & Co who rejected 315p.

Picked up a few.
SCSW were saying buy in Sept '18 @ 172p.
Next issue in a week. Wonder if they will re-itterate?

Extract from sept18: " Three directors have been buying heavily in the last month (a combined 235,000 at c.160p) and with would-be-predator Mediclinic (MDC; 489p) sitting in the wings with a 29.9% stake for which it paid 360p in 2016, the shares are worth buying on weakness. Results are due on 18 September and could herald a recovery."

I passed at the time. Paid 103.5p today.

plenty of buys at 1.00. The price looks ready to take off if results are good. Big chance of bid also. Loaded up with another 5,000 shares today. Now hold 30,000 shares.
Average is 1.12, so hope to recover paper loss and get well into profit

Lots of takeover coming in now. NMC, ETO, GNK...

Spire must be in line given it is now a third of the last offer price of 315p.
