Only a matter of time before Mediclinic return with a buy out offer. Bid 315p 2 years ago: 29% stake bought at 360p. Now 95p - what a bargain at a quarter of the price.

Good news on this arrangement with BUPA

"Spire Healthcare group (LSE: SPI), the largest UK independent hospital group, and Bupa UK, the UK's leading private healthcare insurance provider, are pleased to announce an amendment and extension to their existing agreement, under which the contract's minimum term will be extended to March 2022, with agreed pricing during this period. The agreement reflects the strong working relationship between Spire and Bupa. PMI sales represented 46.5% of Spire Healthcare total sales in FY18."

Consultants not working overtime due to pension taxes make news. Health service waiting lists grow. Will this not increase demand for Spire services or will their consultants be equally constrained.
Only a government could work against itself this way !

Encouraging update, things are looking up.

Spire looks to have held up well, during the recent market downturn over the past week or two, which has to be an encouraging sign for the future.

With luck, we can again challenge those 140p levels in the next few days.
