"I met Lacy yesterday and he is trim and real up for the fight...I have put £5000 on him to win at 2/1..thats an easy £10,000 profit numptys. You could all put that bet on to cover your big losses.Who was the bufoon that predicted a price of 10p....a big hur hur hur hur!!!!!"

Ooops! Perhaps you ought to cancel the steak and just order the ketchup Frank!

Well worth reading the quotes from last night. Huge congratulations to Joe Calzaghe - truly world class. Fantastic performance.

Impressive win indeed, considering no one gave Calzaghe a chance against the "Big hitting" Lacy. Lacy couldn't get near him !

Can't do any harm to the share price and there should be more lucrative fights coming along.. maybe big deals to fight in the US .. anyway let's not get carried away.. ala in all it's more promising for SOP (imho)

worth a read

"I have my own site - www.frankwarren.tv - which is becoming an important part of the business. People can access live fights, radio commentary and a massive library of fight footage. We can have 600,000 people tuning in for a big fight. I have four guys working on the site full time."

Fenseal it seems as if the share price wil go lower. Its one of the shares that arent finding favour with investors.

There are a number of people at fault one of them would be Hansard, who seem to be getting paid for a service and not producing. I do wish sop would use another company.

My opinion of the company stays the same, boxing seems to be growing, stadiums seem to be filling up, (except the danny williams) membership seems to be rising, the alexa graph on fw.tv are doing very well. Its justa matter of decent results with a decent pr company and the share will rise again.

As far as I see it Hansard have done zilch for sop over the last 12 months, not even arranging a brokers note.

I think time will tell.

Ricky Hatton's dream of an explosive tear-up with legendary brawler Arturo Gatti is still a possibility, according to his promoter.

Hatton's next opponent is still unknown as his promoters attempt to arrange a defence against IBF mandatory challenger Ben Rabah.

A number of opponents have been mooted since Hatton beat Carlos Maussa to add the WBA light-welterweight title to his IBF crown but fights with Gatti, Carlos Baldomir, Floyd Mayweather and Vivian Harris have failed to materialise.

A routine defence is expected for his return to America on May 13 before he targets bigger scalps. Mayweather remains the long-term target but Hatton is also determined to take on veteran ticket-seller Gatti, who he holds in very high regard.

Baldomir, who shocked Zab Judah to take the WBC welterweight title, had looked set to meet Hatton but that failed to come off.

Instead he will meet Gatti and if the New Jersey-based Canadian beats Baldomir, promoter Dennis Hobson hopes to make the match.

"Baldomir's going to fight Gatti now," the Fight Academy promoter said.

"He priced himself out. There are two ways of saying no and one is asking for too much money and that's what Baldomir did. He didn't want the fight. He feels he's got a better chance of beating Gatti than Ricky Hatton.

"We'll look at fighting Gatti later in the year - as long as Gatti doesn't get turned over it's a fight we'd like to do. It means a lot in the States, he's still a big name and he has been an idol over there for a few years."

Hobson has been "hampered" in his attempts to secure an opponent for Hatton's next defence, which will take place at Foxwoods in Connecticut.

The 27-year-old IBF and WBA light-welterweight champion has been the subject of legal action by Frenchman Souleymane M'Baye, who claims to be his rightful challenger.

Top IBF contender Rabah is the preferred choice of the Hatton camp, while WBA welterweight champion Luis Collazo and WBA lightweight holder Juan Diaz are also possibilities.

However, Hobson must wait for clearance from the IBF to negotiate a match with Rabah, because the governing body are yet to receive confirmation that Hatton is free to fight after M'Baye served an injunction, before withdrawing it last week.

Hobson said: "I'm hoping we'll hear something in the next 24 hours.

"We're still working it. What's happened is we've asked one or two opponents, we're looking at the WBA champion at welterweight (Collazo), Don King has made us an offer to do something with him.

"We've got Juan Diaz champing at the bit, he wants to do it but they're asking for a bit too much money.

"Then we've got the mandatory (Rabah). We're just clearing it up with the IBF with regards the court case and it's just filtering through what the decision from the court was. Once that's through we've got clearance to negotiate for the IBF mandatory challenger.

"We've been waiting for that for a couple of days but Lindsey Tucker (IBF chairman) sent a letter out on Thursday saying we'd got clearance then on Friday retracted that and said until he gets clearance from the court we can't negotiate for the mandatory. So that has hampered us a little bit.

"We've definitely got one or two opponents in place - credible opponents.

"But the mandatory is the one we'd like to do if at all possible, failing that we'll get an exception or if the IBF can't make a decision for us to go through with the mandatory, we'll do either the lightweight champion or the welterweight champion."
