After all my sanctimonious preaching i went and sold a few at 55.275p lol. All reasoning flew out the window. I dont blame you getting a little precious over banking a profit.I'm exactly the same.

Rumbers...I did trade AHT a few years back...In the 20p's would you believe.

As you can imagine I sold out and its only ever gone one way since !

Then theres Vodafone a few years back...Spirent...Then ITV...Ohhhh I can't go on otherwise I will get depressed !!

Managed to trade BLNX up from 30p though to 130p recently therefore maybe I am slowly learning how to hold onto a 'good en'.

just imagine seeing video footage of yourself trying to micro-manage Ashtead when it was £1.. You'll cringe watching yourself micro-trading, making those repeated sells and shouting at yourself to stop. It's £6.30 now. That should do the trick !

Previous support/resistance was 56.5p. 20MA is 55.8p. Today I'd settle for midway between the two!

I aim to sell today hopefully. Looks good on L2 at the moment. All buying and some small buy bots moving the price up a little.

Aberforth Partners have disposed of over a million shares. They sold near the lows last Thursday. Reported to market last Friday.

Lavendon is the bigger riser of the day. Cantor Fitzgerald have initiated buys on both Lavendon and Speedy.

stevi111, journalists have to be careful when they publish info/opinions about shares! Some, not many, have been fined in the past. Geoff Foster must have a reasonable source, otherwise he would be mad to just start a rumour from nothing.

Agree Rumbers, however I dont take this bid 'news' seriously as I have a feeling its just a ramp to give the shareprice a short rise today.

I could tell you a story about a well known poster on ADVFN and Geoff Foster(Daily Mail) from a few years ago but I wont.

Some lucky person got 250,000 at 51.25p on Friday so hes £6250 better off at the moment.

Takeoever or no takeoever. I believe the underlying trend for SDY will be upwards in recovery mode over the next few years. I would think if there were predators then now is a great time for them to pounce.

Would love to know who gave Geoff Foster this info...Probably the same person who loaded up at 52p on Friday..!!!!

I wonder where Geoff got his 'little tip'. Not that it matters much,.. if it generates a bit of interest and a modest rise for a short period on Monday morning..job done. lets hope the current market sentiment doesn't squash it.
