11/1/2013 20:34 | Trading update next Friday so we'll find out then how they have done and how integration of recent acquisitions is progressing. I expect them to report in line with expectations. I will be more interested in their forecast for 2013. | pearlfisher
11/1/2013 18:44 | Investec Upgrades To Buy Target Increased From 2,175.00 To 2245 | enami
11/1/2013 18:35 | Thanks pearlfisher. It's a particular bug bear of mine and this stock seems particularly prone to it ! | bluebelle
11/1/2013 18:12 | I agree with you Bluebell. Lowest broker target since Dec has been 20.75, the highest 23.00. Spectris management has been sure footed up to now and I see no reason to change my positive view on them. Not the highest yield but a class act. Sold at £17 last year, bought back in £16 and have topped up twice since Wednesday's dip. This is a medium to long term holding for me. | pearlfisher
10/1/2013 16:14 | Same here Enami - all auto triggers IMHO : Bank of America Merrill Lynch cuts Spectris to underperform from neutral, target 2,080p from 1,820p. How can you rate something as 'underperform' and publish a target price almost 15% higher than the current one ? How many stocks do they have on their list which they seriously think will put on 15% ? !!! | bluebelle
09/1/2013 15:30 | Quite a big gap down today, probably due to this - Citigroup Downgrades To Neutral (Although Target Increased From 1974 To 2140) | enami
09/1/2013 07:57 | SPECTRIS PLC 9 January 2013 2012 Trading Update notification - 18 January 2013 9 January 2013 - Spectris plc (SXS: LSE), the productivity-enhanci | bluebelle
20/12/2012 17:42 | Enami If you click on 'Alerts' at the very top of the page you can have them e-mailed to you automatically for whichever epics you select. New closing high today although, as you say, there has been a higher intra day figure. | bluebelle
20/12/2012 15:10 | Missed this RNS yesterday. Spectris plc today announces that it has signed an agreement to sell its Fusion UV Business ('Fusion') to Heraeus Holding GmbH ('Heraeus') for a total cash consideration of US $172 million, the post-tax proceeds of which will be used to pay down debt. SP pushing ahead towards ATH (2063 intraday at the gap up last week) Credit Suisse Reiterates Outperform Target 2,075.00 JP Morgan Cazenove Reiterates Overweight Target 2,130.00 UBS Retains Buy Target 2,300.00 FTSE250 through to new ATHs this week. | enami
06/12/2012 09:50 | Thanks Enami. Don't know what will happen by the close, but intraday £20 didn't cause any resistance. | bluebelle
06/12/2012 09:31 | FTSE250 MONTHLY CHART | enami
06/12/2012 09:25 | Aye going well again today, note that the FTSE250 is only 30 points short of the high reached last year 12211.34 (ATH achieved in May 2007 was 12282, just 100 points above where the FTSE250 is as I type) | enami
05/12/2012 21:34 | Thanks Enami - looks even more impressive on that chart ! | bluebelle
05/12/2012 10:23 | Thanks Bluebelle, I must admit to neglecting things here as no longer a holder. Previous (weekly) chart target posted at the IMS 19 Dec IMS target 2307 still intact. Daily chart here Fib target 2225 more reasonable I think. Climbing to the top of the FTSE250, maybe can be FTSE100 candidate at March review. | enami
05/12/2012 09:28 | Been regularly hitting all time new highs of late. | bluebelle
19/10/2012 11:11 | 12% ahead now, made up almost all of last week's losses. | enami
19/10/2012 09:56 | Broker Views Panmure Gordon Reiterates Buy Target Reduced From 2,000 To 1,930. N+1 Singer Reiterates Hold Target 1,780. Numis Reiterates Add Target 1,770. EDIT Jefferies International Retains Buy Target 1,925. | enami
19/10/2012 07:57 | Good results. A lot of these stocks have been marked down over so far misplaced fears on problems with the sector only to bounce sharply when results are announced. Unless you think the world is going to Hell in a handcart, there's still good value in many stocks which are 20% or more off their earlier in the year peaks IMHO. | bluebelle
19/10/2012 07:38 | Must be time for a chart. Weekly chart upside Wave 5 Fib target a shade over 2300 - that price would put into FTSE100 promotion territory. | enami
19/10/2012 07:20 | Seems the market likes the IMS today, up 7+% on opening. More than made up for the Morgan Crucible effect from last week. | enami
12/10/2012 22:08 | Me neither deadly. | greatbull
12/10/2012 21:49 | Don't think a single broker's downgrade is worth 7%! | deadly
12/10/2012 21:42 | Thx dasv / Baynet. Also found this; 0910 GMT [Dow Jones] N+1 Singer cuts Spectris (SXS.LN) to hold from buy and target to 1780p from 1950p, ahead of Spectris 3Q IMS next week. "We would not expect the group to completely shrug off the weaker market conditions being reported by capital goods groups across from the UK and overseas." it says. Reduces its forecast for organic sales growth for 2012 to 3% from 5% as weaker global manufacturing PMIs and industrial production numbers suggest a tougher backdrop in 2H. "With our near term organic growth estimate reduced to 3%, we no longer forecast an increase in margin for 2012," it adds. Shares down 4.9% at 1580p GB. | greatbull
12/10/2012 21:11 | Morgan crucible cutting back production apparently influenced the share price growth on the skids generally. | dasv
12/10/2012 21:08 | Singer cut them from buy to hold Someone posted on iii may have influenced the price fall | baynet |
