Agreed, non US firms cannot do the work SPSY do with the FED, would have to hived off somehow thereby negating a fair amount to value. Flip side there is some interesting IP here but dlr can access that already.

A bid would obviously be great news for the share price in the very short term but I firmly believe shareholders would be far better off financially over the next few years if the Company were just allowed to grow organically and by strategic acquisition.

I know that Directors have tried and failed to buy decent (ie large) volume at these sorts of levels but it simply wasn't available. Search the posts on this thread for further details.

Any bid would help with a re-rating and help pat unload his 540,000 shares.

Exactly,Pat, for anyone unfamiliar with the Company, De La Rue is the world's largest commercial banknote printer and passport manufacturer but I would be very disappointed if this turns out to be the case.

RainmakerIt would be an obvious fit for De La Rue but I cant see our directors selling out to an opportunistic bid down at these levels.I think someone may have got a sniff of a contract win knowing our shares will be 30p straight away.I would be delighted with a bid as I now have 540/- shares.Im not as patient as you Rainmaker!!Could it be director buying?Maybe they cant buy due to being inside?go go dwha..cheap!!

Pat, I have to ask, and I may be well wide of the mark, but is there a hostile bid coming from De La Rue?5mln shares traded today out of some 46mln in total. I'll look out for RNS with great interest.

DYOR

Pat. They said in the interims statement "we expect that we will be able to install a system within the next two years". Why are you shocked?

Not Earth-shattering but won't hurt. So from the 3 Mar RNS, Inksure had 2012 revenues of $1.1M, so if I take a nice round number and say this is around 10% of the business .. and today's deal could be a growth in that of around 20%. Sound like the right order of magnitude?
I hadn't heard the word 'taggant' until today. Distant relative of stick-insect.

I think the answer is that the cost of a US quote is prohibitive for a small company.

Strange, quite a lot of buying activity some below mid point over the last couple of days and the price is slightly down. No worries though got an average down to 23p now and will wait for the story to unfold.

'Spectra Systems will have a production machine ready for sale by the end of Q1, 2015' Let us hope this is the start of some real interest in this company and it's technology.
