01/9/2017 17:34 | ... in fact, looking at the chart, maybe they are buying them in the market. | mctmct
01/9/2017 17:33 | Same dividend but higher yield because the price is lower. OK if you are buy-and-hold, but the spread (and lack of liquidity) would kill a trader. I guess that one day the company will tender for the shares, 1 for 1 in SPSY, and cancel this listing. Then we'll make a capital gain, too. | mctmct
21/8/2017 08:18 | still lagging other class of shares, no difference really as they still get the same dividend | ntv
25/7/2017 12:16 | looks like a purchase of 1k shares moved price but still lagging other grade of shares | ntv
20/7/2017 19:20 | I agree completely! | mctmct
20/7/2017 10:15 | not sure why traders didn't buy this one as it appears you still get the dividend as with SPSY every time we bought anything the MM moved the price spread is massive by any standards but we are long term holders so happy to wait and see where the company goes | ntv
27/4/2017 20:09 | Take a look at the thread... SPSY (Spectra Unrestricted Ordinary Shares) | court_out
26/4/2017 13:00 | I found SPSC because it has a maximum score under the Piotroski screen on Stockopedia and almost the maximun StockRank. It's profitable and improving and appears to have a lot of cash and the intent to pay a high dividend. The spread is very wide and it's illiquid so maybe it's a value trap, but I bought a few anyway (and raised the mid price by 10% by doing so!). I was comparing companies against PEG, which also has a maximum Piotroski and is doing very well - also worth a look, IMO (I'm long there too). I'd be interested in any views on either company, especially evidence-based negative views. | mctmct |
