Do you have to be a penile dysfunctional male to be for animal experiments?

Jeff - have incorporated your thoughts into the header, thanks.

Brewer - do you know how to make the sma charts a little smaller in the header? Incorporating the &height and &width parameters seem to have no effect when smas are on the chart which has an &size parameter that may mean it is a fixed size only. Have tried removing the &size parameter to no effect, and can adjust the size on "plain" daily and inter-day charts but cannot find a way to do it with technical indicators incorporated into the chart. Have you found a way to change the size for the technical indicator chart type displayed?

poss, because there was a switch out of steady/low risk utils and into higher beta's shares when the dow bounced of its 9080 support

Likely Ranges:

KEL - current range 420-450p or higher - ex-div 27 Aug. AGM 31 Jul. Has seen a significant run up this last week. Possible stake building? Current action uncertain, take care, especially with AGM this week. Could give a further run up to ex-div date. Has been significantly above 200sma since end March.

SPW - current range 355-380p - quarterly ex-div 30 Jul. Watch the quarterly ex-div date this week. Has seen significant run up Thurs and Fri 24/25 July after a couple of very narrow movement weeks. Currently above the 200sma.

SSE - current range 610-660p. Trading range narrower 616-645p. Recent daily price action has been quite wide and just coming back up to the 200sma.

SVT - current range 670-710p. Tight current trading range either side of 200sma, daily price action can be choppy. AGM 30 Jul could provoke price movement.

UU. - current range 565-600p since ex-div in June. Well below 200sma and expected to rise towards 600p over the next week or weeks.

Good Trading to all ....

ditto the above from everyone. Great call on svt - magic ball stuff. I've closed out on kel with a loss, unclear on what its trying to do, so don't trade

plus, this is now a regular stop for me during the day/week. I like (or did like until recently) Kel and Svt

Well it's appreciated here Jeff. Sensible and useful comments are always welcome and this thread has a number of knowledgeable residents. Even if I'm not trading the utilities, I always pop in for a read as I can always learn something here. Please just ignore and carry on with the good work.

Jeff, just want to say thanks for the SPW call. Just back from a lumchtime swim and I took SPW at 377.75p so nicely in the money now. SVT short I took at 690p a couple of days ago so that is now also nicely in the money. Don't you dare resign lol ;-) !!

blackie, the rule on ftse100 companys is........good news pushes it up strongly first day, then there is more likely than not a second day of gains, same goes for bad news other way round.IMHO

SPW strong again this morning to 378p currently. To think only a week ago we were debating whether it would close below 356-7p and thus probably trigger a significant fall to maybe 320-330p.
