hijeff , IPR has some positive broker calls behind it, Merrills and Morgan Stanley both have targets in the 185-190 range and Lehmans up to 200, so agree with you that the time to short may be approaching.

My guess is that march is the nadir for these shares : so have bought back into UU.A - and just missed my buy price for NGT - but live in hopes that it will hit it.

IPR looking out of step here.would expect a fall off sooner rather than later.

Well hijeff - thanks. I don't use Moving averages, but prefer to look at the statistics of a share - in particular, in which months it does best. Indications from 'my system' (if it can be so described) are that it will weaken over the next couple of months - as a result I sold most of my UU.A shares hjust before Christmas : you encourage me no end.

very close look at the MA's shows svt at best sideways and uu retracing,on utils this is a superb indicator,and have yet to find it let me down.

Hi hijeff Happy new year : what weakness do you see? It it just that they are overbought? or is it something else you have worked out?. My guess is that UU will weaken over the next month or so and revive from March onwards.

SVT results today.........T/O +4.2% DIVI 47.04 (45.9) DEBT UP 243MIL

CNA looks likely to be ready to move higher,if it holds above 230 then its gone very bullish,expect it to hit that mark in the coming week.
UU. is also a buy at present levels,the yeald is just too good now.
i expect PNN to run out of steam soon.
IPR will still short this at 150.
NGT cud go either way,best left till it drops to around 411ish

Yeah, its been a very good long from around there. Biggest bets I've had for a while now have been NGT longs. The plan was that it drifts lower for couple of days after the divi, but I suppose thats not going to happen on up days like today.

Closed NGT long yesterday @435.

Was hoping to get back in at around 418, but looking very strong this morning.
