should see a shift back strengthening

Yes. Long SSE from 604 also. Hoping for 614 today.
Trying not to be too greedy.
Short RSA from 130 from a few days back.

Bit qiet round here - H E L L O !
Long SSE yesterday 604 yesterday
out at 608 - now at 612 LOL
Short CNA 183 and hoping.
Resistance at 187/188, may add if
it gets there again.
May short AL. on the bounce
Missed SVT in early 60's - still
looking.
Rest all a bit mid range wishy washy at mo.
Any1 around?

des,the winter months are in general the best for util stocks,as funds reposition themselfs for year end,trying to show investors how cautious they are,just window dressing.

Hi hijeff,
thanks for the reply. I'm relatively new to this at the moment, been investing for about two years on approx. 6months-2year tack, not a day trader, but would be interested if i could get the funds behind me.
Do you think Kelda and SSE and others will regain much ground in the coming months, or is this a downward trend to b resumed at the 70p mark ala WSAtkins?
I'm away for the next fortnight, so can't review fact/fiqures etc, but would be interested in your reasoning to bet on an upturn.

Good evening gents,
I'm not a holder of any utilities, but I am interested in construction firms especialy with a civils bias.
If AWG and others feel they need to invest this kind of money, presumably from under investment in maintaining their assets, and the government stripping them of cash in the "wind-fall" bonus episodes, presumably it will be found from somewhere?
Does this mean good news for civil Engineering firms in increased turnover?

Thx blackhawk, I lurk around this board b/c I have immense holdings in Utilites, the charts are very useful for showing the trend of market sentiment to the industry, which looks quite negative at the mo. The messages load up instantaneously on 56k which can be read whilst the charts load up.
The pricing review is not till Nov 2004 so IMO the negativity is premature at this stage.

Added the charts back in for Hijeff due to "popular request" plus the additions Hijeff included for September. Hope there are not too many charts now but response should still be fine for those on ADSL/Broadband. I mean it is not as though you are refreshing this page every couple of minutes like the DAY thread! Could be reduced down to 1 chart per stock but you would then have to decide whether the yearly or daily chart included/removed?

The alternative is to tell Hijeff not to include so many stocks ;-) !
